personally i think it would have been classier for ron to make the cubs better from beyond the grave than to injure all our opposition's pitching, but hey, whatever works.

Dusty ruins another promising young pitcher.

But somebody pooped where Dusty stands dude. He was clearly watching where he stepped and not counting pitches man.

Look!! Over there!!!!! Something shiny!!!

Now Cincy fans get to find out what it feels like riding the "will he or won't he" train with a starting pitcher.

Certainly, if history is any judge, he'll miss more than just the start of the season -- whatever that really means in the first place.

I didn't think this deserved it's own thread, but another Red's pitcher may be out a while.

Bronson Arroyo has mononucleosis.

He claims he won't miss any of his starts. We'll see.

He should stop kissing 17 year old girls.

How long until folks in Cindy realize all they have to do to stop this is to poop on the top step of the dugout?

"He said he was OK,” Dusty Baker said. “But that’s Cuban baseball. We took him out as a precaution.”

NO, THAT'S ALL BASEBALL, YOU MORON.

Drives me nuts when managers bring up the pitcher saying they don't want to come out. It seems like such a cowardly deflection when pretty much no professional pitcher is going to seay they want to come out unless they're physically unable to pitch.

Since this seems to be where discussion of Reds pitchers takes place, consider the case of Edinson Volquez:

Volquez has given up no fewer than 2 ER in the first inning of every game he has started.

As of the 5th inning of todays Reds/Pirates game:

1st inning: 29.25 ERA

All subsequent innings: 0.95 ERA

I'm to lazy to look up the WHIP or BABIP by inning, but barring crazy bad luck this would appear to reflect some kind of weird mental/preparation issue. I'm inclined to blame Dusty.
