Why is Carroll kicking an EP there? Don't you have to go for two, to make it a 2 score game?

28-11 is a two score game?

As long as people don't think our win was any less impressive just because Seattle closed the gap. Between not picking up the fumble and Forte throwing that pass, this team is clearly not focused this half. Same deal as the Eagles game.

It'd still be a 3 score game.

Duh. I heart math.

It would still be a 17-point deficit, which would still be 3 scores.

A dumb argument about who roots for who or whatever pretty much shows how boring this game is. And now I completely expect a joke making fun of Iowa.

I I've always wanted an explanation from the cubs/bulls/hawks/packers combo fan.its weird to me

+1

Some of you people have fan allegiances that make no sense whatsoever.

I hear you, but I don't really care what people think about it. Everyone is going to pick GB no matter how this game ends up.

A fairweather fan would be abandoning the Packers for the Bears.

How so? Are you from Wisconsin?

So if you say you're a Packers fan, you can all of a sudden just switch allegiances whenever you want? I didn't think it worked that way.

I don't know why it's such a big deal that there are Packer fans who are also Cub fans. It was split pretty evenly between Packer and Bear fans when I was growing up.

I honestly don't know what to make of you guys. But I admit there are...several...of you out there :)

When you're rooting for the Cubs most people around you are actually hostile to your football fandom. And when you're rooting for the Pack, most of your fellow Packer fans hate your baseball fandom.

It just would feel very, very weird to me.

They're completely different sports. I don't see how liking one team in one sport has any bearing on your fandom of another team in another sport.

Intellectually I'm sure you're right.

Emotionally I feel like it would be very strange for me.

It's really not too bad. I moved around a lot as a kid, but like I said I was exposed to the Cubs at an early age. So I always liked the Cubs. When we finally settled in Chicago the Bears were awful, and none of my classmates really cared. 2001 was the year when everything changed and people started being hostile towards me during football seasons. I've grown used to it, and now it really doesn't phase me.

So, going to be in Denver area next Sunday afternoon.

Anyone know of any Bears bars? I saw one online called Wrigley's in Golden. Anyone been there?

I went with whoever was on TV the most (Packers were on more than the Bears when I was a kid). Nothing too exciting.

I lived in the UP of Michigan in middle school. A lot of Packers fans up there. They don't really care for MLB or NBA. I got that after I moved to IL.

I don't care if they don't think it's impressive. Make the Packers 10 point favorites for all I care. It doesn't change anything about the game coming up, except give the Bears more reason to think that no one believes in them.

Of course, I will still make sure to bitch at every single slight of the Bears this week.

Ok so that PI was ridiculous. Perhaps a make up call for the non calls in the 1st quarter? Regardless horrible play calling from the 2 yard line though.

Oh and to the comment about Hasselbeck whining more than Cutler. Not sure about more than but yes he does whine a lot. But moreso at his own players than anyone.

But I haven't gotten an explanation just vaguely effeminate hemming and hawing about why it isn't that bad. That's not good enough!

Well, I'm sure all you'll hear is how the Seahawks didn't belong in the playoffs in the first place so the Bears win means nothing.

Never mind that this morning the story was how much they've improved throughout the year, and how their win over the defending Super Bowl champs proves they belonged.

And I also can't wait to hear the next set of bullcrap reasons why Cutler is still a crappy QB.

I can't wait to see Bill Simmons make up some crazy new theory that he forgot about that caused him to pick the Seahawks.

I'd guess it would be something like "Since everyone was jumping on the 'nobody believes in us' bandwagon for the Seahawks, there was actually a reverse 'nobody believes in us' angle in where the Bears actually felt disrespected by everyone picking the Seahawks based on my trademarked nobody believes in us theory."
