Brett Favre has retired again. But this time, he's probably done.

yeah i think he has sufficiently embarrassed himself and tarnished his legacy now.

Which would mean the Bears wind up being the team to see him off. Marvelous.

Seattle fires Jeremy Bates. The Bears were interested in him for OC last year right? Cuz he had a connection with Cutler? Looks like we might've gotten lucky there.

Surprising firing.

Small measure of revenge after being the man's personal whipping boys for so many years.

That's really strange. Even if they do have motivation issues or the like with him, give him more than a year before floating rumors that you're looking to deal him.

Dez Bryant and Kenny Britt in Nashville would be pretty awesome, but the Cowboys would probably ask too much (if they really are serious about dealing him).

Surprising firing.

This could be part of the reason.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that McDaniels has been talking with the Seahawks since Monday. You know, the day when the Rams deal started to fall apart and a day before Bates was actually fired.

Better than being his personal fellatiater.

He stopped whipping the Bears a long time ago though.

I think it was more of a hypothetical than anything. If the Cowboys could get a top 15 pick would they listen, then yes they would listen. Dez is Jerry's boy so I doubt anything would actually happen for a long time.

And now the Rams hired McDaniels. Ha! They must've paid up.

I disagree. If the rumor is true, then something is up. You don't look to trade a rookie who showed that kind of talent the first year. He was outperforming Miles Austin for a while late in the season, and they signed Austin to a big extension. A top 15 pick for a late first round pick who turned out to be better than expected? I don't think so. If he's a model citizen, there is no way they think about it. He's got issues. Could be TO syndrome. He was acting a lot like TO that one game where he didn't get the ball.

In typical Al Davis fashion, he didn't just introduce Hue Jackson at the press conference today. Apparently he spent 30 minutes ripping into Tom Cable and going over the reasons why he fired Cable, which included the allegations of Cable abusing women.

But its not an actual rumor. Someone asked a random person in the front office if he thought the Cowboys would listen if someone would ever offer a top 15 pick. The reason being is the Cowboys have some depth at WR and are very thin at OL and in the secondary. They are not looking to trade him. Its like saying would Jim Hendry listen to a random offer for Stalin Castro, of course he would listen.

Antrel Rolle believes the grass is greener on the other side of the stadium. Rolle ripped into Tom Coughlin in a radio interview on Monday while praising the way Jets coach Rex Ryan treats his players. Both he and safety Kenny Phillips made it clear they'd love to play for a guy like Ryan, as opposed to Coughlin, who Rolle said is "too uptight." ... "Honestly, I'm not having the fun I'm used to having," Rolle said. "As a person, I don't have any problems with Coach Coughlin. I mean, we have a great relationship. We have a great understanding. But when you're talking about the coaching side of things, do I feel like things are a little too uptight? Yeah, I do."
