shnsajax,

Per our source, Gray is going through with the interview process today with newly-hired Titans coach Mike Munchak in Tennessee.

Contrary to other reports, we're hearing that Gray remains interested in the job.

The Titans have prepared a $1 million, three-year contract for Gray, but he has yet to accept it.

Yeah I just saw that and if true that sucks. Texas 1st Junior Day is tomorrow. I can't blame him for maybe taking that money, but its going to kill any chance he has at becoming the DC at Texas in the next 2-3 years. He turned down a raise from Pete Carroll and more money to go back to Texas so I am not sold on him taking the job. Either way this could be going full circle between us as if he leave I am guessing Willie Mack Garza is next in line and who I would love to bring back to Texas. I almost prefer him over Gray.

I've lost track of Willie Mack. I know he followed Lane to USC, but I don't know if he's still there or if he went elsewhere. Also not completely sold on Gray, but the secondary was excellent while he was in Nashville previously (as DB coach).

As a DB coach I think he is perfect. Willie Mack is still at USC too.

An NFL source said the Titans are interested in talking with Mike Tice about becoming the offensive coordinator for new head coach Mike Munchak. It's unclear whether the Bears will grant permission for Tice to interview for the job as he has one more year on his contract.

I can't imagine the Bears refusing permission. I thought it's always been standard courtesy to allow a coach to leave for another team if the position would be a promotion. If it would be a lateral move that would be another story.

the packers said no to clements interviewing with the bears last offseason.

I don't think I like that idea at all. I'm a big fan of the Clements rumors, but I really don't see Tice being very good.

Well, the Bears denied the Titans' request to interview Tice for the OC position. That means we've requested to interview Bill Callahan and Mike Tice and both have been shot down.

Teams across the NFL are saving Munchak from himself here, it seems. I don't like either of those options. Just hire Tom Clements, that's the right move here.

Chris Palmer is the new Titans OC.

Palmer, 61, spent last season as head coach of the United Football League’s Hartford franchise, guiding the Colonials to a 3-5 record.

I'd have rather stuck with Heimerdinger, but I guess he's better than Tice or Callahan.

How about the Bears release Tommie and pick up Shaun Rogers?

Shaun Rogers isn't very good.

Marinelli exiled Rogers because of effort level (replacing him with the woeful Chuck Darby), so i doubt he'd sign off on that move

i still think Rogers can be a very productive role player, he's always been fantastic in getting to the QB

That's hitting them where it hurts.
