I'm hoping the London game is shifted back to Tampa.

I'm hoping the opposite.

When is the deadline, August 1?

Yep.

“Should the current labor situation be unresolved by August 1, the game will be played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. Buccaneers season ticket holders will receive detailed ticket information from the club in the near future regarding team ticketing policy for this game,” the statement reads.

http://content.usatoday.com/communities/thehuddle/post/2011/07/steelers-olb-james-harrison-calls-goodell-crook-and-puppet-blasts-patriots-and-ben-roethlisberger/1

"My rep is James Harrison, mean son of a bitch who loves hitting the hell out of people," he says. "But up until last year, there was no word of me being dirty -- till Roger Goodell, who's a crook and a puppet, said I was the dirtiest player in the league. If that man was on fire and I had to piss to put him out, I wouldn't do it. I hate him and will never respect him."

•The three-time champion Patriots, who beat the Steelers in the 2004 AFC Championship Game: "I should have another ring. We were the best team in football in 2004, but the Patriots, who we beat during the regular season, stole our signals and picked up 90% of our blitzes (in the AFC title game). They got busted for it later, but, hey, they're Goodell's boys, so he slapped 'em $500,000 and burned the tapes. Was he going to rescind their Super Bowls? Man, hell no!"

•Roethlisberger, who threw two INTs in Super Bowl XLV when Pittsburgh fell to Green Bay: "Hey, at least throw a pick on their side of the field instead of asking the D to bail you out again. Or hand the ball off and stop trying to act like Peyton Manning. You ain't that and you know it, man; you just get paid like he does."

Yes -- and that's probably part of what made him a good football player.

But Goodell -- it's not his job to be liked by these guys. Harrison can hate him all he wants. I'm not even sure that's a bad thing. I don't really relish the idea of a commish who the players think is wonderful.

Harrison doesn't like his own teammates, why would he like the commissioner. The guy is a complete nut job, would have been funny to see him retire like he threatened.

Yeah I would have liked to see the league call his bluff there. He wanted to retire because he would get big fines for his blatantly dirty hits. Good, then the league doesn't need him.

How exactly would the league call his bluff?

Keep going with the lockout?

CBA expected to be ratified on Thursday

Still some stuff to work out. Peyton Manning, Brees, Logan Mankins, and Vincent Jackson are all trying to get exempted from franchise tag status as part of the settllement of one of the outstanding lawsuits.

If it gets done today, the union will reform tomorrow and players will vote, and then the owners will vote on Thursday.

I was pretty tired last night but I'm pretty sure some punter called Peyton/Brees/Mankins and Jackson greedy d-bags for doing this.

Yeah, that was some funny stuff from Kluwe. Now I need Manning to come back with a "liquored up kicker" reference.
