so, we'll be playing Philadelphia again?

Philly, New Orleans, or the NFC West winner, most likely.

I'd laugh if Green Bay and St. Louis won the wildcard round.

All things considered, ten wins and a divisional championship is a successful season for the Colts. Anything past that is gravy. I expect the Jets to beat the Colts next week, but having the third seed does allow some hope for a playoff run (not much difference for the first game, but, if they happen to win, the second game is significantly lighter).

Yeah if the Bears somehow got the NFC West team in the 2nd round it would be the greatest thing even, even though it means they are playing well enough to beat the defending champs. Can you imagine St. Louis coming to Soldier Field. It would feel like a regular season game to me and I would have to fight really hard not to mentally believe we got a bye to the NFC Championship game.

Predictions for WC Weekend:

Packers over Eagles

Saints over NFC West

Jets over Colts

Chiefs over Ravens

Sets up:

Packers @ Falcons

Saints @ Bears

Jets @ Patriots

Chiefs @ Steelers

I won't predict past there.

Posted
Packers-Eagles is apparently the Sunday FOX game. Earlier in the week, Eagles season ticket holders were told that the playoff game would be on Saturday night. Whoops.

If that's true, then NBC picked an AFC game first for some reason.

That's odd. Maybe they were thinking NY market and one of the most marketable stars in the league was worth accepting the NFC West game. Of course that game probably won't be competitive, but it does involve last year's champs and an exciting team to watch, and possibly against a young upcoming star in Bradford.

Not the route I would have gone though.

I say go Rams because I think they would at least have some chance, albeit very small, to upset the Saints.

Put the Saints in a cold, rainy Seattle and I think it would be about as likely the Seahawks pull off the miracle.

Saints would run all their usual stuff against the Rams in their dome.

No use kidding ourselves, we're probably looking at something like 45-13 Saints either way.

The NFC West game might get some ratings on NBC just because it would be the first game of the playoffs. There's no playoff fatigue factor and with the popular Saints in the game it might not bomb as badly as it would have in another time slot.

The Colts-Jets game got very big ratings last year so maybe NBC is trying to replicate that. Still a little surprised they wouldn't try to put Vick in that game though since he could still be a huge playoff story.

This is true about the dome thing, but I am of the belief that the Rams are much much better than the Seahawks, who are downright terrible. 2-7 in their last 9 games and one of the worst point differentials on the season.

That's hilarious that the Seahawks can make the playoffs tonight, and if they lose have the 7th pick of the draft.

Keeping with my hating the Seahawks thing, I'm gonna predict the score is 38-9 in favor of St. Louis tonight. I am predicting a dominating Rams win in Seattle. It reminds me of the Chargers-Broncos game a few years ago. Two team going in different directions.
