Win the next two and make the playoffs. With Rodgers healthy we'd definitely be a threat to make a run.

Don't win the next two and most likely miss the playoffs and hopefully we get rid of McCarthy. I could live with either scenario.

(Assuming a playoff miss means no more McCarthy).

I get the Bears game

I get Baltimore vs. Cleveland

Living in a state with two terrible NFL teams is the worst

this shouldn't be too tough.

also, go jets.

Aren't Reid and the Eagles due for one of their inexplicable losses of the year?

already had it

I was expecting to see that box score be the Bears Eagles game.

This. But I'm sure we'll blow one of the final two games and McCarthy will stay.

Missouri is pretty terrible as well. NFC West and AFC west games galore.

Baltimore/Cleveland or Washington/Jacksonville are my picks for the early games...if I were to watch it on TV, which I won't. To the cloud?

Woo hoo I forgot Cincinnati does not support their team when they suck. Bengals are gonna get blacked out which means I'll be able to watch the Bears game according to that link.

Well my Sunday is going to be wide open.

I get 49ers-Rams and Seattle-Tampa Bay on Fox and one of Raiders-Colts, Chargers-Bengals or Texans-Broncos on CBS. Hopefully the Raiders don't get blacked out but since they couldn't sell out the Broncos game last week, there's no chance they sell out this game which means I'm going to get stuck with a third crappy game.

Not a great time to be a football fan on the West Coast unless you are a Chargers fan.

I think right now he's a Hall of Famer. He spent a couple years without barely getting the ball kicked to him. I can't think of a returner ever playing the game with the impact he has. There is none. He's phenomenal. Not only that, he's a great kid. I tweeted last week that he's the greatest returner of all time, hands down.

What's everyone's thoughts on Hester already being a HOFer?

done. in.

Deion is right, he literally changes the game when he walks on the field to return a kick or punt.

I've been stuck with mostly Rams, Cowboys, and Chiefs here all season. Usually I'm getting a clunker like Rams-Cardinals over Bears-Eagles. This week? Titans-Chiefs over Jets-Bears.

It seems to me that McCarthy really has a built in excuse with all the injuries. I think I heard Hub Arkush say you guys had 6 starters on IR, and 3 of the backups that filled those spots are on IR? And that's not even including Aaron Rodgers missing the Pats game. Something like that....that's nuts.

Meanwhile the Bears starters have missed a total of 3 games due to injury. Tinoisamoa has missed 2, and Cutler missed 1.

Is that really true? Wow.

The Colts key contributors list goes like this:

Addai has missed 8 games

Gary Brackett missed 4

Donald Brown missed 3

Austin Collie has missed 5 (and got knocked out of 2-3 more early)

Kavell Connor has missed 4 (key backup and starting linebacker now)

Brody Eldridge missed 2 (starting tight end)

Pierre Garcon missed 2

Mike Hart missed 5 due to injury (runningback who would have started all those games)

Kelvin Hayden missed 2

Charlie Johnson missed 1

Antonio Johnson missed 2

Jacob Lacey missed 4

Jamey Richard missed 1

Clint Session has missed 9

Justin Tryon missed 4

And the IR players

Melvin Bullitt missed the entire season (starter last year)

Dallas Clark has missed 8 games

Cody Glenn has missed 3 (special teams starter)

Anthony Gonzalez has missed 12

Ramon Humber has missed 12 (special teams starter)

Devin Moore has missed 10 games (kickoff returner)

Jerraud Powers has missed 4 games

Bob Sanders has missed 13 games

Tom Santi missed the season (would have started a lot at TE this year)

Jamie Silva missed the season (special teams starter and would have been starter at safety this year after Sanders and Bullitt were lost by game 1)

Kevin Thomas missed the season (would have been 3rd corner)

I didn't try to go too deeply into the reserve DB's because it was too hard to figure out who was starting when. For example, the Colts have lost 8 safeties so far this year. Several people have blamed the cover 2 scheme on it because it's emphasis on small, fast players inevitably leads to more injuries. That might have some effect but I doubt it does to that degree. I wonder if Packer fans are trying to blame their injuries on anything in particular.

And they're still positioned to make the playoffs. That's crazy.

Yeah, the Colts and Packers were the teams with a crazy amount of injuries that were being mentioned last night in comparison to the Bears amazing health.

Didn't Briggs miss a game too?

Our IR players are as follows: Grant, Finley, Barnett, Burnett, Chillar, Poppinga, Tauscher, Brad Jones, Justin Harrell, Derrick Martin, Anthony Smith, Mike Neal, Anthony Smith, Josh Bell and Spencer Havner. That's seven starters on IR (Grant, Finley, Barnett, Burnett, Chillar, Tauscher, Jones) and four immediate backups (Poppinga, Harrell, Martin, Neal). Things were so bad in our secondary that we had to make a trade for Anthony Smith, and then he was put on IR a few weeks later.

Of course, that's not counting key contributors who have missed time this year such as Rodgers, Matthews, Driver, Pickett, Bigby, Shields, Zombo and Starks. We had a guy starting against the Patriots that I literally never heard of before, until the day before the game, named Erik Walden.

Some years, things go your way. We were pretty healthy, for the most part, last season. Not so much this year. I can't figure out why we've suffered so many injuries. There's no way to possibly indicate that. But as you can see, many of the injuries have occurred on the defensive side. Capers deserves all of the credit in the world for keeping us in position to make the playoffs.

It's quite simple. Win the final two games and we're in the playoffs. McCarthy deserves some heat for our inability to win a close game and if we lose either of the remaining two games, we'd finish the season losing four or five of our final six. He's in charge of the offense and while we've suffered some injuries on that side of the ball, it's nowhere near what we've had to go through on defense. Yet the defense has probably carried us for the majority of the year while the offense has greatly unaderachieved. It's really not that difficult to see why so many Packers fans hold McCarthy in a low regard.

Yeah there's no doubt part of the Bears success this year has been luck. Luck with schedule, luck with other team's inopportune injuries, luck with our own lack of injuries. Critics of the Bears will say that's the only reason we are 10-4 and on the other side of the spectrum defenders will say that they still won 10 games in the NFL that's tough no matter what. I'm in the middle...its hard not to acknowledge the luck. The Bulls have mad more injuries in their 7 weeks of basketball this year than the Bears in 15 weeks. But

I think the Bears are legit good, and are a team that has improved in their weak areas significatly since week 1. I think they can beat any team in the NFC, but who knows if they will.

Yes, he missed the Seattle game, which was when I believe Cutler still wasn't 100% post concussion.

I was misled by sports talk radio! Also I forgot.
