also, illinois has 3 players all in the top 3 at their respective positions. lol, should be good for recruiting i guess.

All it took was 3 surefire NFL draft picks to win the Texas Bowl. Christ, Zook can't coach.

that's the dumbest thing i've ever seen. i'd love for it to happen because mallett is a big lurch back there and carimi would be our LT for the next 15 years, plus, he's probably a huge packer fan and they'd love to get their stinking hand on him. haha, oh, it would be awesome for him to stick it to them in a bears uni.

He'll amend it 2-3 times before the actual draft. It's certainly much different than a lot of the other mocks I've seen. Few people still have Mallett as a first round pick, multiple mocks have moved Liuget solidly into the first round and this is easily the lowest I've seen Amukamara go.

I love the reaction to the Newton workout for the media. Like physical tools were ever a question or concern for him.

Yeah, there's very little to glean from the offseason for Newton. He's a fantastic physical talent with everything an NFL team could want and the combine, workouts, etc. will just confirm that.

The only part of the offseason stuff that could/should impact his draft status, I think, are the Wonderlic and personal interviews. He's obviously going to be a raw, high upside guy so his intelligence, work ethic and ability to adapt to and develop in an NFL offense will be key.

I agree with you guys that the workout should mean nothing, but Kiper said he's going to put Newton in the top 5 in his next draft, and now considers him the top QB, which is just ridiculous.

i would wager that newton will be a pro-bowler in 3 years, if not sooner.

The sooner part is a bit of a limb, but wouldn't stun me. I've seen nothing so far to make me think he can't excel as an NFL QB, the only problem is, we haven't seen that much from him overall.

That's silly. What could Kiper have seen at a workout that he didn't already know about Cam?

Maybe he saw a check from Cam's agent.

Yeah I really don't get it. Is this really because he displayed what he showed all year but did it taking snaps from under center? Who didn't expect him to have an awesome workout?

As Mayock said, the most impressive pro day he's ever seen from a QB was JaMarcus Russell. I don't think Cam is as lazy and shouldn't have all the problems Russell had but don't freak out just because of a controlled workout.

I don't get it either, but I'm not exactly against the idea that Cam could be the best QB prospect in the draft. It's mostly because all the prospects are extremely flawed, and it's more a matter of which flaws you think you can live with/coach up.

I don't have a problem if someone thinks that Cam is the best QB in the draft. I have a problem if with the idea that you would go into his workout thinking he wasn't, and come out thinking he is.

how is this different than Jamarcus Russell throwing from his knees and ass during workouts and suddenly he's this great QB prospect?

I didn't say that was right either.

sry - that wasn't aimed at you. aimed at analysts. it's just stupid.

I haven't read everything that has been written about the workout, but I don't see how anything he could have done would be that significant. the workout was every bit as much about keeping Cam's name in the forefont of the draft talk as it was about showcasing his technique from under center.

Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton has signed a shoe and apparel deal with Under Armour, according to CNBC's Darren Rovell.

Terms were not disclosed, but according to sources this deal will be the largest deal ever given to an incoming NFL rookie, surpassing the $1 million a year deal adidas gave to Reggie Bush in 2006 both in terms of annual guarantee and overall dollars
