heard espn radio in West Michigan discussing whether Urban quit so he could take the UM job. Seriously.

That would be a shocker, not that I think it would ever happen.

Despite some reports to the contrary am told by sources close to Tommy Tuberville that he still is going hard after the Miami vacancy.

It sounds like he still believes that Bo Pelini is a candidate for the Miami job, as well.

3 years is pretty much the limit for Bo.

One year after he took over at Tech, who does he think he is Nick Saban?

He must be tired of Odessa already.

He has strong recruiting ties down there. Plus he has to overhaul TT's roster completely from one of the most prolific pass-heavy offenses to what he usually wants in a run-oriented offense.

Going to Miami makes a ton of sense from his end.

Malzahn reportedly received an offer from Vanderbilt of $3 million...a year.

I didn't anticipate Vandy offering that much cash....Even so, Malzahn may wait for an offer from a school with a better football program.

Auburn got all the key offseason free agents, so vandy had a lot of leftover money available.

Rumors floating around this afternoon that Stoops is in the process of finalizing a contract with Florida.

Stoops denied them.

Eerily similar to last year when ND was so close to landing Stoops that Adam Schefter claimed he'd be the coach by the next day. I'm not sure what Stoops is playing at.

after seeing pics of stoops' still-being-built house, i'm going to go out on a very thick limb and say he's not going anywhere any time soon.

Apart from no major head coach experience, it's hard to find a negative in that hire for Florida.

Really?!? He's one of the most overrated coaches in all of sports. Solid recruiter, but his defense full of 4 and 5* was a joke this year. As a Tennessee fan, I am very pleased that Florida made this hire.

Had they hired Stoops, Petrino, Petersen, Patterson, or even Mullen, I'd have been concerned. Muschamp? Not so much. He'll be fine, but I think they could have done better.
