The roof of the Metrodome collapsed a few hours ago under the weight of the snow. A hole was created and it deflated.

1. I hope no one was hurt.

2. I'm going to make the assumption that they wont be playing there tomorrow night, so where does the game get moved to? Chicago? Green Bay? St. Louis?

One suggestion I read was to move the game to Kansas City since the Giants are already there. One thing that would not be an option would be to delay the game further; the Giants would never agree to play later than tomorrow night because they have a big game against the Eagles next Sunday and they're already going to have one less day between games.

Wherever it is played, even though the Fox telecast will only be available over the air in New York and Minnesota, it will be available nationwide to Sunday Ticket subscribers.

St Louis isn't far away, and it's a dome with turf that can host a game quickly.

I'd stay away from putting an extra game on a grass field this time of year. But I'm sure any of the teams in the region will help out if they can.

BTW, confirmed no one was hurt. But is this stadium safe for people in a snowstorm? I'm starting to wonder.

The reports of it collapsing were apparently a bit of an overstatement. A few panels were damaged and to prevent it from getting worse, they intentionally deflated the roof. It was probably coming down one way or another, though.

Depending on how long it takes to repair the damage this could also affect the Bears game in Minnesota next Monday night.

At a minimum the Bears now have the advantage of an extra day of rest over the Vikings.

ESPN is now reporting that the stadium will definitely be unavailable tomorrow night, and the NFL is exploring options to play the game tomorrow night either at the University of Minnesota stadium or at another NFL domed stadium.

Someone's going to have to fly back to NY so the Giants can get their outdoor gear. Or maybe the Giants can all take a team trip to Dicks's Sporting Goods and pick up some Under Armor. That would be a sight!

Honestly, St. Louis really makes the most sense. And that would be kind of cool because I could probably go to the game and root for the Vikings (ewww). That helps the Bears the most right?

Favre said that if the game was played today, he would absolutely not have been able to play. I'm sure he will be ready by tomorrow!

Apart from the fact that it is going to be around 0 degrees if they played at the University of Minnesota's field, who cares that the seating is smaller than the Metrodome? If they play at Ford field, I doubt many will travel there to watch the game. I would get less than 50,000 would travel there.

Possibly Ford Field, they say.

Yeah, sounds like they're leaning that way. They have all the essential personnel in place for the Packers/Lions game today, and sounds like they'll just keep them in place one more day for the game tomorrow night. My money is on the game being played in Detroit.

I suppose that makes more sense since the Rams are in NO this week. Having all the equipment and personnel is something I hadn't thought about. There's going to be nobody there, regardless of where they decided to play it.

So, whats the attendance going to be at this game? I'd guess somewhere around 15K.

Might pick up some locals for the novelty of it.

How far is upstate new York? Some may drive on short notice.

I'll go 20-25k
