Wow Fisher should be fired for how he handled the clock on that last drive.

32 seconds left, no timeouts, down 9 on the 20 yard line, he throws short of the end zone twice. One gets out of bounds, 1 is 2 yards short of the end zone in the middle of the field. By the time Collins spiked the ball there was only 4 seconds left on the clock. I don't know why they don't kick the FG in those situations. Yes the TD is harder, and yes the FG might miss, but you need to put yourself in a position where you have the ball and need 1 score to tie/win. Meaning, kick the FG, make it a one possession game and try your onside kick. If he kicks a FG and recovers an onside he has probably 24 seconds left to make something happen.

I agree not kicking the field goal with 32 seconds left was a pretty big mistake, but the throw short of the end zone was on Kerry and Scaife. Kerry is on the team because he's a veteran who knows situations well, and he should have known not to make that throw. Go for the end zone or throw the ball away and conserve time. Scaife should have known not to cut his route short of the end zone in that situation.

But yeah, with Rob Bironas as the kicked we certainly should have kicked the field goal with 32 seconds to go.

Does anyone care anymore about Brett Favre? I find it amazing that he still gets front page news on every sports outlet. I was watching Sportcenter today and they cut to his press conference for like 10 minutes where he was answering idiotic questions about how it hurts when he does this or that.

It's absolutely insane. I mean, the media must be pandering to people who actually care about this, right? The media isn't so stupid as to keep pushing stories that nobody cares about, right?

So who actually still gives 2 s@#$s about Brett Favre? I don't understand it.

The madness ends for good after Week 17, so they're trying to squeeze every last drop of him they can. Plus, I think they're just looking for excuses to keep Ed Werder employed.

Don't be so sure. I'd put even odds on offseason talk of him at least considering coming back.

With Arizona or Miami being the likely destination.

Ew, why Miami?

apparently, the NY Giants are stuck in Kansas City becuase of a huge snowstorm in Minnesota and having the airport there shut down

would they play on Monday? Tuesday?

That would give Favre an extra day or two to get healthy. Figures.

I cant remember any storm related scheduled game other then Z's no hitter, nothing in the NFL that I remember

I was probably thinking of the Bears-Ravens game last year. There was talk that it would get pushed to Monday, but I think it just got pushed back to the 4:15 game.

I actually hope they still play at noon. You'd have to think all this chaos and flying into Minneapolis in the early morning would hurt the Giants chances of winning, which would help everyone racing them for a Wild Card.

That's what I'm hoping for.

I just got it so every NFC team in contention besides in the NFC West but including the Rams have a 10-6 record lol.

What the [expletive] did you try to say?

I believe he was saying that every team close to a playoff spot (not just actual playoff teams) was 10-6. Eagles, Giants, Bears, Packers, Saints, TB,...

and why the hell are the Giants in this situation? This blizzard was predicted days ago

Game moved to Monday night.

I hope it's televised somewhere. NFL Network maybe? I care a hell of a lot more about that game than I do Ravens-Texans on Monday night.

I believe that NFL rules say that the game can only be broadcast in local markets. That's how it was a couple years ago when the Texans game was pushed to Monday night due to the storm down there.

Yep; regional coverage in New York and Minnesota on Fox.

The roof of the Metrodome collapsed a few hours ago under the weight of the snow. A hole was created and it deflated.
