Well this is a winnable game much like the Seattle/Washington games were, but on the road. They are 3-1 on the road so far this year and 1-1 in primetime. You can't really say this game is make or break, but it is fairly crucial in the race to determine who will make the playoffs. I really don't see the Bears finishing with 10 wins if they can't beat Miami. I'm also watching this one with 2 Dolphins fans, so a loss is really going to be disappointing.

I'm hoping for 2 out of the next 3. So, I'd take a loss tonight if it means they beat the Eagles next week (and win @ Detroit). The Eagles game is a bigger game because its vs. an NFC contender anyway.

I just feel like they are only going to beat the Eagles if their recent improvement is real and they don't keep suffering setbacks. And a loss to a depleted Dolphins team would be a setback. Obviously I would much prefer a win over Philly to a win over Miami if I can only get one. But if they are going to get to 10 wins, I don't see it happening if they lose to the Dolphins.

Agree to some extent. But I also didn't see 10 wins if they lost to Seattle. Then again when they lost to Washington. But yeah, winning 4 of 6 with this schedule (after a loss tonight) is much more difficult than winning 6 of 10 or whatever they needed after Seattle.

Coming into the season, sure, but they were 4-1 when they lost to Seattle and obviously 4-2 after that game. There was plenty of winnable games remaining on the schedule, including Miami. The Giants loss didn't mean much at the time because they were playing with house money. But they've used up their mulligans already and now can't really afford to lose to .500 teams with four big time contenders remaining and only 2 bums.

Just dvr it. I don't know the remote control you have but on the Directv remote there's a 30 second automatic fast forward button. If you hit it as a guy is tackled, it should bring you to the QB at the line at scrimmage on the next play. There's about 30 seconds between plays and it times perfectly (except during 2 minutes drills). You can tear through an NFL game easily in an hour.

Every single mainstream prediction I've seen has picked the Dolphins to win tonight.

ESPN's "pickcenter" picks the Dolphins, but picks the Bears to cover, which I don't know how that's possible since the line is Dolphins -1.

ESPN's expert predictions haven't been uploaded yet.

Peter King picks Dolphins 20 Bears 16 and makes some comment about how Thigpen is going to show that he's more than a clipboard holder or something.

All 6 of CBSsports.com writers pick the Dolphins straight up tonight, including Prisco who has Dolphins 24 Bears 20.

Wait I did find someone picking the Bears. On Yahoo sports, 1 of the 2 posted predictions is for the Bears, but some guy named Jason Cole. The other dude, and the fan majority both pick Miami.

Whatifsports.com uses a statistical model to predict their games, and has the Bears winning handily, 22-14 (which is handily for these types of predictions), with the Bears winning over 75% of the time it was simulated.

Prisco hasn't picked the Bears game right either way since Week 4. So, that works for me.

Line is 1.5 in most places, and I saw 3.5 somewhere.

Lovie's coaching decisions are not simulated.

My girlfriend just reminded me that tonight was the night she bought stupid Lion King musical tickets for us to go to. I told her to pick a night during the week so I didn't waste time on the weekends going to it. And of course she picks the night of the only Bears weekday game between September and December.

So I'm gonna miss the entire game. The show starts at 7:30 (same as the Bears game) and ends sometime between 10:15-10:30 supposedly (roughly when the Bears game will end). I was considering DVRing it but I won't be home until 11, and I can't kill a Bears game in an hour. The worst thing is, my gf has the biggest pet peeve of me checking my phone during stuff like this. I am going to have a miserable night if I am checking my phone during the show.

I guess I should set popup notifications on my phone for scoring plays. That way it pops up as a text message, so I can really quickly sneak my phone out and check the message instead of having to refresh a web page to see the score.

When you get home, you'll either be elated that you missed the game (which is a bad thing), or feel awful that you missed the game (which is a good thing)

I've been there ;)

Wake is out, Long will start and play which sucks. Thigpen will start with Ramsey as the backup and Henne is active as the third qb.

Pegged as a schedule loss all season. Though I think road teams are like 10-13 since Thursday night football came about - not that bad. Cautiously optimistic although once Cutler throws his 1st prime time pick I'm gonna feel awfully nervous.

Yeah, and I thought they were bad before.

Well actually they were. But this is like watching a locally broadcast high school game.
