71 in a 65 is probably an officer thinking "hey, here's an easy contact and I'll write the guy a warning."

Officers don't have to have ticket / arrest quotos but they do have to make a certain amount of contacts each month or week and a speeding warning is an easy contact.

I'm wondering if there was something suspicious about his driving that drew the policeman's attention. Pulling him over for speeding was likely an excuse.

I'm just shocked somebody was actually pulled over for going 6 over the limit

i got a ticket for going 72 in a 65 once. wasn't doing anything wrong besides that.

i was not very happy.

cop in my home town once pulled me over for doing 29 in a 25. He was also an [expletive] and there's nothing else to do. Nebraska is much the same.

I got pulled over going 70 in a 65 on I-80 around 3 in the morning going back to Chicago from Colorado. It was out of state plates and I think they just saw an easy option to get paid.

The smoke coming out both windows like a cheech and chong movie might have been their first tip.

It was the three in the morning that made them suspicious. Have a horse trailor or an RV at three in the moring and you are definetly picked up on I-40

There was nothing suspicious about driving at 3am on I-80.

Miller was stopped last Saturday by the Nebraska State Patrol for driving 71 mph in a 65 mph zone,

wtf?

isn't it 70 in most of nebraska?

It said he was pulled over in Lincoln. The speed limit's probably lower there since it's an urban area.
