The Bulls do have somewhat of a soft schedule coming up. Outside of Howard there really aren't any great centers in the east.

somewhat? the schedule is as soft as it gets

I'm pretty sure the Bulls will run with a Gibson/Boozer front line for the next while. The biggest loss they'll face is defensive.

That's pretty much my thought. I'm kind of thinking Thibs is a good defensive coach and Asik isn't a bad defender so hopefully that can help us hold some ground. At least against the poorer teams.

What does suck is it's going to be really hard to beat Orlando or Boston (not sure if we play them in the next 10 weeks or not) without Noah. It was hard enough with him.

What center/big power forward can the Bulls get off the scrap heap?

Asik has played a little PF this season right?

From what I've seen nobody that interests me.

The Bulls play them both once. Hopefully Noah can get back by February 26th to play the Heat.

Brian Scalabrine and Kurt Thomas.

AlexKennedyNBA Alex Kennedy

Some reports have said he'll miss ten weeks but sources close to Noah are optimistic the time frame will be closer to six-to-eight weeks.

On a positive note, how about that game tonight?

Also, here's an image I found over at a Raptors blog site:

The Bulls better destroy a bad team with Stojakovic, Bargnani, and Calderon all out. But they did play good. It sure is nice to have a real secondary scorer on this team to take some of the load off of Rose and help him out when he has off nights. Boozer led the Bulls with 34 points and 12 rebounds in just 26 minutes.

dex, I hate this too but you gotta think this Rose-Boozer-Noah core will be together for multiple years. This is just the start. Maybe we only win 45 games this year or something, but we can still have a solid playoffs and scare some teams. I'm pretty sure everyone will know we are badass.

I'd consider 45 wins, even without Noah for 2+ months, a disaster considering the start we've had and the remaining schedule.

I agree with whoever said we can still go something like 20-10 over the next 30 and would've expected better with a healthy Noah.

this isn't devastating in the slightest, the worst we can do is the 4 seed

Have you guys seen the rest of our division? Do you really think the Pacers will leap frog us now?!!?!

I still think we get 50+ wins

The suggestion was that the Bulls would go 20-10 with Noah in the lineup, not without. I'd consider 45 wins a huge disapointment too, it was just a number I threw out. I think it will be something like 50-32, but at the same time its really hard to understand how much we'll miss Noah until he isn't out there. When the Bulls didn't have Noah last year, they were a completely different and bad team. Obviously the team is better and deeper this year (except at Center of course...) but there will be a definite and noticable dropoff in the teams play eventually.

I think we have a 5 game lead in the division now. I'm pretty confident we'll win the division too. We might be able to win it with 43 wins.

I was the one who said I'd still expect 20-10 without Noah and would've been disappointed with that record with Noah.

This sucks, but looking at the brightside, it will be nice to have a Noah with fresh legs down the stretch/playoffs.

Especially when he's a guy with plantar fasciitis issues.

FWIW, both Sagarin and Hollinger have us as the #5 best team today.

For whoever doesn't know it, those aren't typical subjective power rankings but statistical models that churn out overall ratings based on numbers that I mostly don't understand.

Who's top 4? Celtics, Heat, Lakers, Mavs?

Hollinger has the Spurs in there, not the Mavs.

Sagarin has the Spurs in instead of the Lakers.

Hollinger: Heat, Celtics, Spurs, Lakers

Sagarin: Celtics, Spurs, Mavs, Heat (Predictor has Celtics, Heat, Spurs, Lakers, Mavs, with Bulls 6th)
