I lived in Dallas for three years and got free tickets to Ross Perot's box at Arlington, so I'd probably go for the Rangers. But this is hardly a strong preference at all.

I lived in DFW awhile and still go to a Rangers game if I visit people over there during the summer. I was at the Rangers first ever playoff game in 1996.

If I have a second favorite team, it's the Rangers. So, I guess I'd like to see them win.

I won't be terribly upset if they don't.

twins are leading, eh? I guess I don't like them because I get tired of all the old-timey baseball guys saying they win because they "play the game the right way".

No strong preference this year; I'm more interested in having close series than caring who wins.

None of your 7 favorite teams made the playoffs this year?

In baseball my 7 favorite teams are the Cubs, Cubs, Cubs, Cubs, Cubs, Cubs, and Cubs.

Basically the same except I never went to a baseball game while I lived in Dallas.

Go Rangers!

Either the Rays or the Twins in the AL and the Braves in the NL. I wouldn't care about the Rangers also.

i grew up 15 minutes from philly so they're the choice. i was born in st. paul and my best friend is a twins fan so they've been my AL team for a long time, and i'd be happy if they win also. after that:

3. rays

4. giants

5. rangers

6. braves

7. yankees

8. dusty baker's reds

I'm actively rooting for the Rays. Second choice is actually the Yankees. I've decided I kinda dig the Yankees because everyone hates them. I hate the Red Sox way more than the Yankees. Sox didn't win for 100 years and now their fans act like they're entitled.

That's a horrible reason to root for the Yankees. Everyone does not hate them. People everywhere love them. You can find Yankees crap everywhere. I agree with your assessment of Red Sox fans, and I could see rooting for the Yankees over Boston right now.

as opposed to the yankee fans who have seen their team win 27 titles and act like they're entitled to win it every year (and act like if they don't win it for 5 years, that it's a national tragedy that needs to be remedied ASAP)

I guess it wasn't obvious, but I meant everyone who's not a fan (I assumed that was implied because we are 99% Cubs fans here) hates them, there's no in between.

Ranger, I am hoping for.

Twins, would be awesome especially in the WS when it is still being played in late Oct.

Tampa Bay does not deserve to have a ball team. MY opinion, the state of Florida shouold only be used for spring training.

Yeah, but they have a ridiculous number of pseudo and fairweather fans around the country and world.

True. But of real sports fans, the Yankees and Cowboys are the 2 teams that everyone either loves or hates.
