Apparently Thompson was talking to a few teams about the following players: Marshawn Lynch, Fred Jackson, Steve Slaton, Michael Bush and DeAngelo Williams.

Get any of them in here.

I'd be surprised if Bush was available...McFadden's had 3 good games. I'd guess they at least want to feel out this season with him.

If the Packers are willing to overpay by a decent amount, I think it'd be a good idea to deal Bush. If they don't get a really good deal for him, though, you're probably right.

If we're willing to overpay, I'd take Williams or Lynch ahead of Bush. But again, any of those options sound outstanding to me right about now.

Yeah, Bush probably wouldn't be my first choice either. I was just commenting that, from the Raiders' perspective, trading Bush for a really good deal would be a good idea even though McFadden hasn't had prolonged success.

The Panthers aren't trading Williams. He's the only guy on offense worth anything right now.

i wish they would, for the sake of my fantasy team.

They gotta do something with the run game, and they've got to do it soon. Brandon Marshall just isn't the answer.

Actually, Brandon Marshall might work out better than your current options.

22nd overall in rush yards per game. I just think those options listed would be better options than what we have in-house.

And if Jackson or Kuhn would go down, then we're totally screwed.

Rookie QB, hopeless offensive line, one WR with a pulse on the road against the defending champs. Yeah, this'll go good.

And then the Bears. It's gonna be a long bye week when we are 0-5.

the bronco line is very very good.

So is the Colts' defensive line, though, with Mathis and Freeney.

has clady ever given up a sack?

He has. Like Once.

And Clady and Harris are studs, but besides that the Broncos Line is just ok. And they have battled injury's all year

having two stud linemen and the rest just average makes the line very good.

I think the entire line has a chance to be one of the best in the league for the forseeable future. Once we get Harris back, we'll probably the best tackle rotation in the league with Clady and Beadles (who played outstanding in the Indy game). Our only weakness is the inexperience of our interior, but I'm confident it'll improve.

I have so many concerns right now with Green Bay. I really hope we beat the Lions like we're supposed to and I really hope it's without setting a franchise record for penalties. I'm still sick with how crappy they played last night.

I have some concerns, but not many. Obviously the lack of a running game hurts, but I'm hopeful that we're going to swing a trade before the deadline.

One thing that upsets me is we have better tackles that aren't getting enough burn. Bulaga should be at LT and TJ Lang should be at RT. There's no excuse to continue to play Clifton and Tauscher.

Our defense has held up very well despite missing Harris and Bigby for the first three games. I'm really impressed by that. Once we get them back after week 6, that should give us plenty of depth there -- something that we're solely lacking right now.

Special teams is always a concern for this team, just because they're not coached well. The stupid ginger punter was fine the first two games but he was obviously a mess on Monday. Jordy Nelson has really impressed me as a kick returner, though.

Every team has some weaknesses. I think we're fine compared to most teams around the league. Our strengths far outweigh our negatives.

I can't believe how washed up Clifton and Tausher look at this point. I have no idea why Bulaga didn't play much or at all on Monday. Maybe MM was afraid of Peppers beating him but he already was destroying our line. My concerns mostly have to do with the penalties but a lot of those were because of Peppers and the lack of a run game. If Thompson gets us a running back I'll be a lot calmer. When you have a passing game and a good defense you should be good in this league though and the Packers clearly have both.

jemele hill writes another shitty article

my favorite parts:

and his career as an Eagle was capped by the ultimate insult: The team traded him to a hated division rival. That sent a crisp message about the franchise's sentiment.

what??? how is that the ultimate insult? of the teams that were looking for a starting qb, the redskins had the best team and mcnabb refused to consider deals to oakland and buffalo (and who can blame him?) originally the eagles refused to trade him to washington but then they agreed to do so - which is what he wanted. but that's the ultimate insult. great research jemele.

If the Eagles win, it would be just another way to justify the classless way McNabb was discarded. The perception created by the fans, the team and some in the media that McNabb was a perennial underachiever has nothing to do with Vick.

The team did absolutely nothing to paint him as a "perennial underachiever." If that perception exists, it comes from the fans. The Eagles spoke glowingly of him at every turn; they just felt that Kolb was the QB of the future and he had made it clear that he wouldn't sign an extension if he were not the starter (he was slated to become a free agent after this season). They made a choice. Veteran players get released and traded all the time; why is this so "classless?"

This week, Reid's platitudes about what McNabb did for the franchise will ring hollow, considering he benched McNabb for Kolb against the Ravens in 2008.

WTF? he was benched for half of a game when he was playing terribly. he turned the ball over three times in the first half and had turned the ball over four times against a bad bengals team the previous week. he was struggling and the team needed a spark (which they obviously didn't get because kolb sucked too). then mcnabb back to starting the rest of the time in an eagles uniform when he was healthy. but i guess giving him the hook for a half in 2008 negates 11 years of andy reid praising the hell out of him.

i'm not sure what more she has to do to get fired. she writes articles that are usually riddled with factual errors and little to no research whatsoever. she said that rooting for the celtics is like sympathizing with hitler, compared john calipari to charles manson (???) and told packer fans to throw batteries at brett favre.
