so is the whole "the bears struggled to beat the lions at home" argument for the packers being better than the bears completely out the window now among packer fans (bcl and flames24 excluded)?

We struggled to beat the Lions at home. The Lions had a buttload of penalties, giving us a bunch of free yardage, and we just barely hung on for the win at home in a game we should have put away with all the help we got from the opposition.

Hrm.... where have we heard this before?

The Packers didn't win that game. The Lions lost it. And I'm not too proud to admit it.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Vick leaves the game injured. Appeared to be holding his upper chest area and had diffculty breathing.

My fantasy season is on the ledge now.

Being an Eagles QB can be hazardous to your health.

that doesn't answer the question.

Both teams struggled to beat the Lions at home, yes. But that was not the only reason I feel the Packers are better than the Bears. Although they certainly didn't play like it this week.

As long as Green Bay has Kuhn and Jackson as their own running backs and a hit or miss type defense it's tough for me to say that they are the best in the division. On the other hand Rodgers did nothing to help his defense today. He made some dumb passes in the second half.

ERIK HATES HIM SOME CHICAGO BEARS!!!

On a serious note, combining your comment with the fact that you think the Packers are better than Bears, does this mean you think the Lions are better than the Packers? By your logic, that is what you're suggesting.

Also, the Bears dominated the Lions and barely won despite their own turnovers. The Packers were pretty much dominated BY the Lions but won because of the Lions turnovers. If you can't distinguish between those two scenarios then I don't know what to tell you.

I was mainly comparing Monday Night's Packers-Bears game to the Packers-Lions game today.

I know. My point was that if you think the Packers are better than the Bears because they dominated the MNF game but lost, then shouldn't you think the Lions are better than the Packers because they dominated today but lost?

Nevermind. It doesn't matter. I don't want this thread turning into the Bears-Packers thread we had last week lol.

wait so mcnabb was given a standing ovation by just about everyone at the game? i guess all those articles about how the fans would boo him, throw snowballs at him, kill his family, etc were a complete waste of time then.

all this talk comparing those two Lions games is absurd

just look at the comfort level Linehan had with Hill today compared to the hideous uber-conservative offense he was calling in the Bears game, i don't think you can compare the two at all

Raiders going to get the ball back down seven with three minutes to play and two timeouts.

Scobee just hit a 59 yard field goal to beat the Colts.

Indy shouldn't have called timeout at the start of the drive. Probably cost them the game.

Horrible coaching call. It would have been one thing if it was 2nd and 9 or 2nd and 10 (and even then it was questionable with how little time was left on the clock). But on 2nd and 2 there is no reason to call timeouts hoping you get the ball back. It's especially egregious when there's a kicker like Scobee on the other side who has that huge leg.

Scobee was hilarious after he made that.

Never underestimate a club with its back against the wall. Also - I don't think Peyton can keep that thing together at its former levels all by himself. Colts are likely trending down, finally.

Maybe. But I haven't seen any real evidence of them being worse. Their games against Jacksonville have always been ridiculously tight even when the Jaguars have been bad. Houston has been outplaying them for years and the Colts have had some miracle finishes to beat them. It's not shocking that the Colts could lose both of the road games against those two.

Yeah, if they Colts don't have the two turnovers in the red zone (or don't call a timeout late in the game to give Jacksonville a shot), they could easily have won that game. And if they were 3-1 right now, nobody would be saying anything.

The Kansas City Chiefs are the last undefeated team in the NFL. I called that.

Vegas probably has bets on that though, right? I wonder what the odds were?
