After the Giants carved up our defense last week and the Orton-led Broncos carved up the Colts, this game could get ugly.

However, the Bronco receivers are worse than the Giants' receivers and Eli's better than Orton, so hopefully we'll be able to slow them down a bit. A pass rush would be really nice and something the Colts didn't do a bunch – from what I saw – against Denver last week.

I love short weeks after losses.

As a fan, short weeks are the best part of MNF games. I'm sure the players probably feel differently.

Eli's better than Orton

I'm not sure this is true at this point. Certainly not through the first 3 games.

They're actually a lot closer than I thought they'd be. I think Eli's been slightly better, but not so far this season. Eli's the more talented QB, I think, though.

The Raiders defense is No. 3 in total yards yet No. 24 in points allowed.

The Raiders offense is No. 10 in total yards and No. 1 in trips inside the opponent's red zone yet are No. 22 in points scored.

Of course, they're also first in penalties, first in penalty yards, third worst in touchdowns in the red zone (three in 13 trips), third worst in point per red zone trip (three) and have missed the most field goals (five).

The Broncos left seven to eight guys in to block on basically every down, hence the lack of a pass rush (the Colts still rarely blitz, though they did successfully on the second fourth down play). I can't for the life of me understand how (i) the secondary failed so thoroughly to contain so few receiving threats and (ii) how adjustments weren't made to counter this. The Broncos are likely to pass the ball better this year than most suspect, but I'm not sure how much predictive value the Colts game has.

I didn't realize there were that many Broncos in to block. It does really make me wonder what happened to the Colt secondary. I think the Titans have a better secondary this year (by a little) so hopefully we'll handle the Broncos better this week.

the bronco line is very very good.

So is the Colts' defensive line, though, with Mathis and Freeney.

has clady ever given up a sack?

He has. Like Once.

And Clady and Harris are studs, but besides that the Broncos Line is just ok. And they have battled injury's all year

I have so many concerns right now with Green Bay. I really hope we beat the Lions like we're supposed to and I really hope it's without setting a franchise record for penalties. I'm still sick with how crappy they played last night.

Ugh he was 2 picks from being a Bear (Clady). Instead we got Chris Williams...blah

The Lions have not won in Green Bay since way back in the Don Majikowski/ Lindy Infante days.

That boggles my mind every year when that stat comes up. I mean it makes sense but it's difficult for any team to lose 20 years in a row when they play there once a year.

Yeah, it is pretty nuts. The Lions have had some not terrible teams a few of those years, too (was it 1992 they got to the NFC Championship?). You'd think statistically they'd have won at least one of them.

having two stud linemen and the rest just average makes the line very good.

I have some concerns, but not many. Obviously the lack of a running game hurts, but I'm hopeful that we're going to swing a trade before the deadline.

One thing that upsets me is we have better tackles that aren't getting enough burn. Bulaga should be at LT and TJ Lang should be at RT. There's no excuse to continue to play Clifton and Tauscher.

Our defense has held up very well despite missing Harris and Bigby for the first three games. I'm really impressed by that. Once we get them back after week 6, that should give us plenty of depth there -- something that we're solely lacking right now.

Special teams is always a concern for this team, just because they're not coached well. The stupid ginger punter was fine the first two games but he was obviously a mess on Monday. Jordy Nelson has really impressed me as a kick returner, though.

Every team has some weaknesses. I think we're fine compared to most teams around the league. Our strengths far outweigh our negatives.

Yes, even with the loss, the Packers have been the most efficient team in the NFL overall. Special teams is bad, because, well, special teams has always been bad. They should still be considered a Super Bowl favorite, but undisciplined enough to lose in any situation.

Apparently Thompson was talking to a few teams about the following players: Marshawn Lynch, Fred Jackson, Steve Slaton, Michael Bush and DeAngelo Williams.

Get any of them in here.

I'd be surprised if Bush was available...McFadden's had 3 good games. I'd guess they at least want to feel out this season with him.

If ever there was a time for Angelo to trade up. The difference between Clady and Williams was obvious then itself.
