Perhaps. You never know though, Atlanta could get all kinds of crazy hot and make a run through playoffs up and into the World Series, and upset the Yankees. All while Chipper plays a valuable role in guiding the young Braves to playoff success, doing what he has to do to keep winning for Bobby. This convinces Chipper he wants to manage, and he goes on to have a Hall of Fame career doing it. In that scenario, you could say it wasn't so crappy. :-s

I had a feeling that unless the Braves won the World Series this year, he was coming back before the injury. His contract goes through 2011 and I doubt he could leave $14 million on the table.

yeah but he has a crapload more power on the left side

 

edit that was a cursory glance at the total home run numbers while neglecting smaple size, he is a stronger hitter as a lefty but not overwhelmingly so
