I swear only the Cubs. What a disaster.

it's awesome. if we are going to suck this year, this is what i want. i want a [expletive] circus. i want this [expletive] to get completely disastrous.

What do you mean "this year"? You revel in the Cubs' misery every year. The more things to b**** about, the better.

I bet you're downright giddy these days.

you seem to have a hard time telling the difference between venting about the cubs sucking and hoping for the cubs to suck.

but hey, it's davearm. you specialize in faulty logic and making no sense.

In the very post I quoted you stated you were hoping for the Cubs to suck. In fact you called it awesome.

no, i didn't. trying reading it again.

I clearly stated, and I quote, "if we are going to suck this year, this is what i want." i'm saying that if the cubs are going to suck, they might as well tank hard to bring about changes and a higher draft pick. none of this 79-83 and minor changes stuff that leads to use being mediocre again next year and having the same problems over and over.

either you have tons of trouble with simple reading comprehension, or you're just being willfully ignorant. considering you do this constantly, i think i know which one it is.

Regardless of your hairsplitting the point stands -- you sure seem to enjoy this.

You're just being difficult. I get exactly what he means. If we're going to suck, I'd rather it at least be interesting.

Coming from any other poster, I'd agree. This guy really seems to bask in it though.

Wow you have to be the only person on this site who doesn't get what hes saying. I'm guessing had anybody else on here said it you wouldnt have a problem with it.

like i said, there's a understand the difference between a person venting about the cubs sucking and hoping the cubs suck. i want the cubs to win as badly as anybody. the problem is that i want them to win too much, which makes me get more pissed to see them do the same stupid things over and over again.

Can I say I want them to suck too? I can understand dexter's point. If they are going to be bad this year (and I think they deffinatly are), then might as well be so embarassingly bad that MAYBE that will FORCE major changes. I mean in the eye of the "common" Cubs fan. Rickett's would almost have to make a statement by letting go of Hendry and Lou and bringing in some new people to make (hopefully better) descisions for the future of the cubs. If we just have a terrible year it makes it easier to say "Look we are going to make some big changes", than it would if we have a SLIGHTLY above average or below average year. This would be a really good year to suck because we might actually see some POSITIVE changes for the Cubs.

It was pretty obvious this is what you meant.

I like the phrase those two Chicago sports radio guys (whose names I don't feel like looking up to spell correctly) use: "Fun bad." If the Cubs are bad, I want them to be fun bad.

i see the cubs less as "fun bad" and more as "stop paying attention to the team and don't watch the games bad."

i'll probably be mad at myself for tuning out on this season come january, but it's really not even a question. this team isn't fun at all.

So far I don't see the fun. They just suck. Thankfully I haven't been sucked into watching too much of it.

Yeah this team is horribly boring bad.

"Fun bad" was some of the loser teams that Sosa was on. At least you could watch for him to hit a crazy amount of homers.

i think a team that was fun bad would hit a lot, play terrible defense, and have an awful bullpen. lots and lots of leads blown in the late innings in comical ways.

"oops we lost 2-1 to paul maholm" is not fun bad.

I have to say, I have laughed out loud at some of the performances by this team this year. "Funny Bad" may be a more appropriate term than "Fun Bad".

This team is a prison, on planet [expletive], in the galaxy of this sucks camel [explitive]!
