Lou said Z was pissed because the D didnt dive for any of the balls in the 1st. Grow up Z. In the video you can read DLee's lips telling Z to "shut the [expletive] up", and "thats bs". Lous talked to Hendry already and it definitely sounds like a suspension is coming at the very least.

Ok Ozzie just made me lmao for the 1st time ever. Him and Z supposed to do a charity thing tonight and go to dinner, a reporter asked him if they are still going, Ozzie responds with, "I hope so, hes had plenty of time to make the reservations for us". Hahahaha

I like it. Not that Lee deserved what he got, but it's about [expletive] time that someone with standing in this organization showed the kind of rage that I've been feeling for weeks.

How can you like someone making a complete ass of himself and the Cubs, and making the Cubs even bigger laughing stocks of sports than they already are? Z's act is beyond old, and going off on a teammate is completely uncalled for, especially when it was Z who was getting hit harder than Brett Myers wife.

Emotion is fine, but that was ridiculous. He should've been mad at himself for lacing one down the middle to a free swinger with an 0-2 count, not at Derrek Lee.

I think this could be the end of Carlos in Chicago. Don't let the door hit you in the ass...

It seems clear that he was mad at himself as well.

Yea thats why he was yelling at DLee and the defense for not diving. He was placing the blame on that inning on his defense, instead of blaming himself, something Z has done repeatedly throughout his career.

Z will be traded. We'll end up with a terrible player with a terrible contract in return.

Considering we'll be trading a terrible player and a terrible contract and a terrible person, that would be a plus return.

Lou needs to go. It's obvious he's lost complete control of his team. Incidents like this don't happen with managers who have control of the clubhouse.

Yeah, Zambrano never lost his shizz before Lou got here.

I want to be on Z's side on this but I just can't. I think he was frustrated with Lee's effort and it affected everything else that happened in the inning. But he's got to be better than that. If Z was pitching well there's no way he's suspended indefinitely.

I think this has been building since Lou took him out of the rotation. He's not been pitching well and then he sees what he thinks is a lack of effort and blows up. But it's all on him. He just cannot do that.

If 1st base wasn't such a black whole for the Cubs I look to unload Lee too. He's supposed to be some sort of leader and the Cubs are clearly lost.

Anyway, Z will always be one of my favorite Cubs. Plunking that [expletive] Edmonds twice sealed it forever.

Z is basically untradeable unless we swallow about 90% of his salary or take on some Pat Burrell type contract. I don't see this getting resolved. Someone will come out and say everything is all hunky dory (sp?). I really hate that we paid Z all that money but hind sight is 20/20.

Lou obviously should have put a shock collar on Z's neck long ago.

Pat Burrell has a two year $16 million dollar contract. I'd love to switch those contracts!

I didn't see all of the angles, but it seemed that Lee could have dove and knocked the ball down. I only saw the view from the third base camera. Did Lee have any play on it at all?

Z has to have a morality clause in that contract. Search that thing with a fine tooth comb Jim.

If the Cubs could trade Zambrano, he would have been gone earlier this season. If the Cubs pay 50% of his contract ($23 million) at the deadline, they might find a taker. 2 1/2 years @ $23 million might be worth it for another team, especially if they didn't have to give up too much in the way of prospects. Of course the dreaded NTC might come into play because Zambrano might not want to leave because no other team would baby him as much as the Cubs. If they could find a taker, that might solve the problem of who to trade (Silva, Lilly, Gorz).

Rangers could be buyers at that price. Z is at the the point where he has to be willing to waive his no-trade clause. He isn't a changed man and his daughter's request not to act like a child was obviously not enough to change him.

I don't think the Rangers can take on ANY salary.
