After seeing that dugout rant by Zambrano, I stick by my position that this current team needs to be broken up completely. I'm pretty sure clubhouse chemistry and morale has not been good since DeRosa left/Bradley arrived.

Oh and my mancrush continues to grow on Bob Brenly.

If you thought maybe the Cubs would play well in this series just because, or because of some rivalry, or because they scratched out a win yesterday, or whatever.

No luck, we still suck.

For the love of God, just blow up this team already

No doubt. Hopefully getting embarrassed by the Sox will be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Not that I ever want the Cubs to get embarrassed by the Sox, but it just seems inevitable at this point.

I'm glad Lee stood up to him, though. Classy guy, one of my favorite all-time Cubs.

Me, too. I have always wished he'd take on more of a leadership role though. Why was Z going after him?

This is our worst nightmare...

A crappy team just two weeks ago, the Sox couldn't be any hotter right now...

While the Cubs are a complete laughingstock where two of the team's supposed leaders get into it in the dugout and our "ace" pitcher is gone after one inning...

When's training camp start?

I think as Dan Bernstein would say, this officially reached 'fun bad' with that. I'm laughing about this more than anything. Not sure what that means

Does Lou get canned if we get swept this weekend? He almost has to, right?

Hendry won't fire him, and it wouldn't help. What we need is a fire sale.

I want both.

Hendry's a lame duck GM, though. I don't think an all-out fire sale is coming.

Besides us completely sucking right now.. I'm only able to listen to the game and watch on Gameday, but is Peavy getting strike calls on right handed batters box? That's what I'm seeing on Gameday.

What was Z mad at? Was there an error in the first?

Pierre started off the game with a double past Lee that he could've gotten a glove on, but didn't. White Sox then swarmed Z for four runs in the inning, and Z yelled at Lee in the dugout.

When you say he could have gotten a glove on it.......did he give an effort or was a tough play he didn't try to make?

If ownership calls for it, I'm not sure he'll have much of a choice, other than to resign.

And an all-out fire sale isn't realistic, with some of the contracts the Cubs have. But shipping Lee, Lilly, Silva, Theriot, Nady and maybe Fukudome would be helpful (for next year).

I'm still not sure that was even the case, since it was by no means a routine play for Derrek Lee. Z may have just been acting like an idiot because he was upset with himself and maybe Lee stood up to him. It seems to be all speculation at this point.

I don't think it's an act.......................

Absolutely, I'm all for a complete overhaul. That's really the only thing I'll accept at this point.

Nobody knows the Ricketts well enough yet, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see. It's completely obvious that this team is dead in the water, though. There's no resurrection coming here. I don't know how the Sox did it, but just because they somehow overcame their terrible start doesn't mean we are. There's just nothing to really like about this team, outside of the outfield and Marmol. Everyone else can go and I wouldn't shed a tear.
