Lou stepping out saying Z has to apologize to his teammates at the very least but he's hoping for more... Lou sent him home to avoid an incident in the clubhouse. Also said he's embarassed by this incident.

Forget Ryne. I'd take Brenly or Girardi.

Lou just said he's talking to Hendry about Z because his behavior "can't be tolerated." I think Z's getting suspended (rightfully so).

We all remember the last time the Cubs suspended a player.

I have to give Lou credit for once. I think he handled that very well.

The only reason Lou should be embarassed is because Z did what Lou hasnt done all year and acted like he gave a damn.

Exactly.

Z's full of [expletive]. Even if it were true, that the defenders didn't dive for balls, no one could catch that 3 run homer. He serves up a meatball and then starts calling out teammates. That's twisted.

Don't fret guys. The BP Cup is still very attainable. Win tomorrow and we set up a winner takes all match on Sunday! Why do you all think Z flipped out today? He's wants this damn Cup amd he wants it BAD. BP Cup fever - catch it!

Come on man, give me a break. Z acted like a moron. Publically calling out teammates is not something that anyone should do (especially someone who has been basically horrendous all year).

I dont agree with the circumstances, no. The defense is really not what should be unter fire here. Its just good to see an explosion of some kind. Z lost that game himself in the 1st, and it was clear we werent coming back with 1 out in the botto of the 1st. Still, after all of Lous "what can you do" and "Im out of answers" crap IM glad somebody just lost it on them, even if was a guy whose been a bug part of the problem. Its just nice to see somone get fired up.

And then go back and tell me where it says that LOU not giving a damn is why the Cubs are losing. The Cubs are losing because the 2 hitters theyve counted on over the past 6 years have stopped producing. There are many other reasons, but the colapse in the offense starts with Lee and Ramirez.

If someone wants to get fired up for the right reasons, that is fine, but showing up probably the most respected player on the team is another story. Nothing positive can come out of that and no it isn't nice to see.

It makes things interesting for the first time in a while. Its not going to help the team by any means, not the 2010 team, but it could cause a chain reaction. Z being traded. Others being traded. Lou being fired. Hendry being fired. Im not saying its going to happen that way, but it could, and for that reason, Im very interested in what happend next.

According to ESPN.com, Zambrano has been "suspended indefinitely."

Hendry says he's been suspended pending MLB and Player's Association investigation. The Cubs have to play with 24 players per the rules...

Absolutely. I don't think Z should have called out his teammates, but props to him for caring that his own team is garbage.

And how long was Z suspended for the Barrett incident? Obviously this suspension is coming from the Cubs and not MLB, correct? Either way, I don't see anything Z did today that was worse than the pounding he gave Barrett. I want to say he was only suspended a couple weeks for that. "Indefinitely" seems like a much longer period of time.

Paul Sullivan just tweeted that Rickett's spokeman blames the Cell for Z's out bursts. He doesn't think it would happen at WF. LOL, ok... Of course, the Barrett incident also happened at the Cell (and Lou called Milton a piece of [expletive] there too. LMAO, that place sucks ass).

Slight nitpick: The Barrett thing (at least, the Z/Barrett thing) happened at Wrigley, against Atlanta. The Barrett/Pierzynski thing happened at the Cell.

Man, we've had a lot of fights/outbursts the last half-dozen or so years, haven't we?
