Ok, now let's go back to Bosh's tweet from earlier this afternoon-

chrisbosh Today is a GREAT day!

Really seems like both those dudes made their decisions within a few hours of each other. Considering how much we heard about Bosh wanting to play with LBJ, there's a good chance they've agreed to play somewhere together, right?

I'm worried about the Miami thing happening again

Well it sure doesn't sound like Bosh is going to Cleveland. I doubt Bosh would say its a great day because he is going to Cleveland when reports all day were that he didn't want to go there.

Favorites to get the best regular season record perhaps.

Isn't that the same as being the favorite to win the championship? I didn't say they would win. I said favorites to win. If they have the best odds of being the best in the regular season, wouldn't they naturally have the best odds to be the best in the postseason too.

It's hard to say. Basketball, more than any other sport, is where you can basically mark it down that a team with one of the 3 or 4 best records in the league is going to win the championship. There are teams that go full throttle trying to lock up a #1 seed and then there are older teams (i.e. the Celtics) who seemingly only turn it on for the playoffs. Some of the old Bulls teams (in 1993 especially) and the Shaq-Kobe Laker teams did the asme thing.

There's usually a strong correlation for sure. The Cavs were breaking a lot of long held stasitical patterns by winning a bunch of games over 2 years and not even making the Finals. Maybe it's just an anomaly, maybe not. I can guarantee you the idea that it's not just an anomaly has crawled into Lebron's head though.

The coaching change could have a big impact in the playoffs also. If LeBron comes back they're obviously top 3 in the East and I can't put Orlando/Boston ahead of them. Make a couple switches with role players, hope you upgraded enough from Brown to Scott and take your chances in May.

And it could stil happen, but what hurts Miami is the lack of a decent center on their roster. The fact that Miami only has two signed players on their roster could bite them in the butt. Not discounting Miami or NJ, but the Bulls seem to be in a nice position, right now.

Imagine this spectacle on Thursday. He has this hour-long, special in Akron where he's donating ad revenue to the Boys and Girls club. You're a Cavs fan thinking this is probably going to be a feel good thing about home and loyalty and all that stuff. Then he turns heel and announces he's going to the Bulls. I can't imagine a bigger kick to the balls for a sports fan.

Well, yeah I can because I lived through the '98 and '10 NFC Championships and '03 NLCS but still.

I have this terrible feeling he's going to NY

Nah....He's staying in Cleveland. No way he is going to have a one hour special with proceeds going to charity to announce he's breaking Cleveland's hearts.

He's staying in Cleveland. Even with Amar'e, the Knicks roster is still a pathetic bunch as a whole, and it would take him a minimum of at least three years to win in NY. That's if NY media don't murder him before he wins.

Yep. All but certain that he's staying.

And only slightly less certain that he won't win a championship.

WTF?!?

LeBron James(notes), Dwyane Wade(notes) and Chris Bosh(notes) are expected to share a conference call on Wednesday to discuss free agency and try to move closer to finalizing their decisions, a league source with knowledge of the plan told Yahoo! Sports.

The Boys and Girls Club has its headquarters in Atlanta, so clearly he's going to the Hawks.

This confuses me. A little while ago he announces he will make his decision on his future on Thursday, yet this comes out where he is having a planned conference call with Bosh and Wade on Wednesday? Does James know where he is going or not?

Assuming the report is true, LeBron is trying one last time to get Bosh.

Okay, I'm thinking it all over and I'm convinced these dudes are going to Miami

- Summit happens, Bosh and Wade are commited to doing the trio thing in Miami.... LeBron insure and gives them a "maybe"

- During FA, we see the empty chair picture from Bosh's twitter, essentiualy saying "C'mon LeBron, we know you're considering it... "

- LeBron still wants to go to Cleveland, but only if he can get bosh

- Bosh holds out, refuses to go to Cleveland (because it's Cleveland)

- LeBron knows he won't win anything in Cle without serious help, decides to go for the Miami thing, informs Wade and Bosh

- Bosh tweets "today is a GREAT day" (The superteam in Miami was his number one choice all long, finally getting what he wanted)

- Hours later, we hear that LeBron is prepared to announce his decision

- Minutes later, we get an article of a conference call between the 3 schedule for tomorrow, theoretically to hash out the details

Read all that in order, and tell me it doesn't seems like this is what's going on. I know there was the whole "Bosh is demanding the max" thing, but like everything else, it could have been complete BS

At this point I'm feeling like LeBron to Cleveland would be a win for us

Yeah, but Bosh has made it perfectly clear he doesn't want to play in Cleveland, even with James.

I read on another site, and this is slightly grasping at straws, is that James is going to use the Boys and Girls as his escape plan. Think about think who will villified James if on the same night he leaves Cleveland, he donates millions of dollars to a charity? Only the hardcore fans. I know it's stretching, but who knows.

Dexter, that seems possible but he's not doing an ESPN special in Akron to tell people he is making a superteam in Miami. LeBron is just too loyal.

Doing an ESPN special would be the PERFECT place to announce a superteam

And nobody knows where this is being held yet

How the [expletive] can they all go to Miami? Not one of them is going to take a paycut.

This sure seems like an awful lot to go through for someone to just announce that he's staying put.

Honestly, I don't think this press conference makes it any more or less likely he's staying in Cleveland. I think he will personally, but this conference definitely doesn't make me think that's any more likely... at all.

where it's being held is obviously the big tipoff.

From Cleveland PD twitter: As of now, there are no plans for LeBron to make announcement at St. Vincent-St. Mary. Obviously the location is a huge tipoff.
