I've had a tough time mustering up willpower to follow the Bulls too closely, but LBJ and Bosh would certainly make things easier.

I've been following this so closely for a few weeks now that I want to follow them no matter what. But I say that every offseason and then I realize in the fall that I have to actually watch basketball games to be a Bulls fan.

Hopefully this fall Bulls basketball will be fun to watch.

If the rumors are true...they'll be VERY fun to watch.

Rose/LeBron/Deng/Bosh/Noah is as good a starting 5 (probably better) than any in the NBA. If they could actually make the Deng for Pietrus/Gortat swap and add a little depth to the team, that would be even better.

I'd love to see them find a shooter to add to the bench or starting two guard with the mid-level. But even without that, they'd have to be in the conversation for the very elite teams in the NBA.

That's one of the best starting 5s in league history, let alone now. I would make a 70 win season a goal with that lineup.

I don't think they'll have enough depth in year one of that era to win 70. They'll have to get very creative in roster management to add some additional pieces.

But I swear I'll never complain about Reinsdorf being cheap ever again.

I want this to happen so freaking bad! It'll be cool to get excited about the Bulls again. If he's really serious about winning I can't see him going anywhere else.

There are some rumors that Bosh to Miami is a "done deal" too, so who knows for sure? In the end, I am confident that the Bulls end up with LeBron and either Bosh or Joe Johnson. Either way, this team is going to be SICK next year.

I just bought season tickets with the expectation that they will be amazing next year, there are only crappy 300 level seats available but for only 35 dollars a game it is a steal. I'm pretty sure if lebron and bosh come these tickets will be selling for 80-100 a seat.

even if it's just lebron, they will be

I'm hearing rumors that JR sent $6 mill with Hinrich to Washington. I read this on a couple of Bulls fan sites, so I don't know if it is true or not, but if it is, then you know JR has information that leads him to believe that James will sign with the Bulls. JR is not one to give money away so this would be an interesting development, if true.

I've heard the Bosh to Miami rumors and now I'm hearing that Johnson may go to the Knicks.

If you think I'm getting carried away just wait until if it actually happens and the "can this team break the 1996 Bulls win records" hype goes through the roof.

Remember when the Lakers signed old ass Malone and Payton to join Shaq and Kobe and there was all that greatest team ever talk surrounding them? That's exactly what would happen here except the entire core would be in their physical primes.

Saw it on RealGM.com first, but betting odds on LeBron have shifted dramatically in the last 24 hours, and the Bulls are now -500 to get him. That's got to be inside information, there's no way money shifted toward Chicago that quickly.

Bosh is also -500.

That's ridiculous.

I feel like betting against both of them, both because I want to hedge my happiness and because I think that's nowhere near close to a true representation of reality.

let's not get carried away with "best lineup of all time" here

As long as you start a remotely competent SG, I don't see how it wouldn't be up there.

You'd have a potential GOAT candidate at one position, a top 3-5 PG, a top 2-3 PF, and a top 5 C.

The New York Times still has some pull I guess.

Being the cynic I am, I want to believe the hype, and part of me does, but the other part is waiting for the carpet to get pulled out from under me. I know none of the rumors have been as mainstream as this one, but I still have unhealed wounds from the Kobe to Chicago and Bulls trading for Amare rumors, not to mention Brian Roberts and Peavy for the Cubs.

People said the Celtics wouldn't have enough depth... and they were older and only had really, really good players toward the ends of their primes (if not past).

It's hard to see that team losing many games... even with complete trash on the bench. It's not like the starting lineup goes out and then the bench goes in... you're going to have great, great players on the court at all non-garbage times.

Hell, you could lose one of the players and still have a championship contender.

I'm as optimistic as they come, but this is one thing I'll have to see to believe. I do believe it logically could and even should happen... but Bosh's wishes are just a big x-factor to me... I could easily see him going to Miami. More easily than I can see him coming here.

Lebron + Boozer/Amare/Lee is still an overwhelming favorite to win the East, IMO. Maybe if Miami got Bosh and some other pieces but they would be very thin otherwise.

yeah, i think he goes to miami too. other than the recent rumors of lebon/bosh coming here together, there has been virtually nothing about bosh to chicago over the last several months. i'm thinking he was never really interested in chicago and wanted to go to miami all along.

who knows though

i think we're getting lebron and joe johnson.

I'm secretly hoping for the jackpot scenario:

- Bulls sign LeBron

- Bulls work out a sign and trade for Bosh that sends Deng to Toronto

- Wade becomes angry that the Heat left him with nothing and didn't get either LeBron or Bosh and leaves for Chicago.
