Get the [expletive] out of here with Varejao being on the same planet as Dwight.

Dwight isn't a good offensive player but he's a legitimate top 5 MVP vote getter because of his defense. Varejao is a nice piece. Howard is a franchise player almost entirely because of his defense.

Lebron is the monster on defense on the Cavs. Almost Pippen-like.

Anyway, not the worst season all things considered. I think VDN is gone and we getting a shooter + Bosh SHOULD be realisitic.

"whoever wins that cavs - bulls series .. HAHA ..."

That guy's a douche.

The Varejao comments are way over the top too. He's a nice player. There's nothing wrong with drawing the line right there.

"whoever wins that cavs - bulls series .. HAHA ..."

wait... what?

he was interviewed after their game and he was like "well when we see the cavs in the next round..." and then he realized the series wasn't over, so he said "well, whoever wins that series ..." and then gave a real derisive laugh and went on talking.

i love talking about varajeao because he's such a real world troll. People looooove to watch blocked shots, which account for such a small part of post defense.

Haha. "Real world troll" is an absolutely perfect description of Varejao. Nice.

I love how everyone thinks the officials suck, but fans of every team only see it as sucking against them. On RealGM, the Bulls posters were comparing the officiating to Kings-Lakers. So I go over to realcavsfans to see if they see the same stuff I am seeing, and they are talking about how horrible the officials were for them.

Something has to be done about the officiating, or at least the perception about the officiating. Discussions about the refs seemingly dominate the discussion of games. Everyone thinks refs are biased against certain teams/players, or just the home team in general. And way too many people really believe that games are fixed on a regular basis. I realize that officiating basketball is tough, and no matter how good they are, they are going to miss calls. But I really wish the NBA would work to change that perception so everyone would shut up about the refs.*

*said by a poster who was constantly bitching about the officiating on RealGM tonight (although not nearly as bad as the majority of posters)

I agree 100% The complaining about the officiating is 10x worse than the actual officiating.

Even the superstars who constantly get "superstar calls" constantly complain. They need to start with the players. Let them talk to the officials about a call, but quit complaining on every single call that is made in the game. It has gotten to a ridiculous level. It's time to start giving people technicals a lot quicker.

Oh, and Stan Van Gundy is the most annoying coach I have ever watched in any sport.

The best are always douchebags.

Rose could be even more amazing if he stopped acting like such a wuss.

I was thinking last night that Rose could be a lot better if he could channel a small part of Luol Deng's incredible selfishness.

I think off the court Rose is a wuss, but he's been a beast on the court. Showing a lot more emotion and leadership on the court than last year. No he's not a cocky jackass or anything, or a player who thinks every foul against him is a crime against humanity, but he's got court swagger.

BTW, anyone notice how far Rose fell off shooting wise in the 2nd half last night? He started out the game 10-15 shooting for 20 points, and from that point on shot 2-12. Overall in the 2nd half he was productive (4-14 shooting, 15 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 TO, 6-6 FT), but you gotta wonder if the Bulls would still be alive if Rose shot as well to end the game as he did to start it. They were mostly the same shots he was taking earlier in the game too, just misses.

And I thought I was a cynic. You don't need to be a douchebag to be great, and I think DRose is out to prove that. I don't care if DRose is a metrosexual off the court. Joe Mauer isn't a douchebag and he's great. I hate to say it but Pujols is great and he's not a douchebag. Same with Chase Utley, CC Sabathia, etc. I know there are alot of great players who are douchebags, but there are those that are not.

Rose averaged 26.8 points per game in the series, but needed 25 shots per game to do so. He really needs to become more of a weapon from the outside and/or get to the line a lot more.

the refs can start calling fouls anytime. the play in which lebron was "injured" is a perfect example.

rose does not need to become a chucker to be a superstar, he just needs refs to start doing their jobs.

If officiating is a difference, it's not a big one. Rose intentionally contorts himself to avoid contact when he gets into the lane.
