You understand they just wanted to generate some controversy and sell some newspapers, right?

Bwahaha! I might have to go get a Tribune today...

i'm 100% against this for multiple reasons. so [expletive] stupid, and pretty embarrassing to the city

Meh, why be so serious, it's sports and they were just having fun with it. They even said they would like Pronger if he was on the Hawks.

Because beyond being juvenile it just doesn't make any sense. Looks like Tarzan skates like Jane? No, not really. We're going to give him a female name and put him in a pink skirt because of one bad game where he got hit hard? He's still one of the best players on the ice along with being the most physical and playing the most minutes.

It would be like a Minneapolis or Green Bay paper doing the same thing with Brianne Urlacher. Or puting Adrian Peterson in a skirt. Or Erin Rodgers. It doesn't take any creativity, it's pandering to the lowest common denominator but most of all, it just doesn't make any sense.

Yeah, that's a really stupid thing to do. It makes me feel pretty embarrassed. There's having fun and then there's going overboard.

You guys are embarrassed over a photoshopped picture? There's TONS of those all over the internet...the only difference here is that this was put out in print media, which from what I've been told, is pretty much dead anyway.

They're just trying to get readers guys...

why do i get the feeling that kyle is in the corner of a dark room in the fetal position saying "please one more win, please one more win, please one more win" over and over again to himself right now?

He's been strangely absent from this thread since before game 5. I think he said something about traveling but still. He was so cocky about being certain that the Hawks were going to lose the series. They still might, but I think he was saying it would be in 6 games.

Kyle? That was me until I finally mustered the courage to get dressed and get to work.

And I have a three hour flight this afternoon to AZ to calm the nerves. Was invited to dinner with some other work folks tonight. Obviously that's not happening.

Oh my bad, sorry for confusing you with Kyle, terrible mistake (kidding Kyle).

Luckily I have my busiest day of work this week today starting in about a half hour so I am hoping the day flies by quickly without much thought of the game.

Also, since it is Wednesday, I have another kickball game at 7:15 today. This week I told them to screw off. I can't miss any moments in a potential championship game. I'll regret it if we lose, but I'd regret it even more if we won and I missed the first and 5 minutes into the second period.

Haha, actually the captain of my team was just giving me a guilt trip because multiple people are backing out this week because of the game. Normally we usually never have problems with getting people to show, we usually have too many people. If you can get here from Iowa before 7:15 I'll see what I can do :)

Sounds like the captain of your team is the one who should be wearing a skirt in the newspaper.

A win in Philadelphia is long overdue.

Things that happened in 1996:

-The Bulls win 72 games and their 4th NBA title in 6 years

-The Yankees win their first World Series title since the early 1980's

-The Cowboys win their last Super Bowl to date, beating the Steelers

-Bill Clinton defeatd Bob Dole and is reelected President of the United States

-The Summer Olympics are held in Atlanta, GA

-Princess Diana and Prince Charles are divorced

-The OJ Simpson Trial begins

-On October 27th at around 4:31 PM CST, a young umfan begins puberty

Oh and also the Blackhawks won a game at what is then called the CoreStates Center, their last win in Philadelphia until TONIGHT

The operation my squadron scheduled me to work tonight from 3pm-3am just got canceled. If that's not good mojo for tonight's game, I don't know what is.

Depends on what games you have and have not worked this series.
