aside from the season where lee forgot how to hit the ball hard in the air, he's been much better

Eh... based on what? 2009 and 2005 are all Lee has on Aramis.

Also 2007, and in 2006 he broke his wrist.

2009 and 2005 are also better than anything aramis has done in his career, and they were basically even in 2007 (the other year where they were both healthy) with lee's OPS being OBP heavy. i prefer him over aramis every single time. though i love rammy.

Lynn rules - "Arthur Rhodes did not pinch for the Cincinnati Great Westerns in 1869, it just seems that way."

Surely we can get some runs off that old man, can't we?

I agree, not to mention Lee is a top 3-5 defender at his position while Ramirez is probably right around average.

I'll be honest, I forgot how good he was in 07.

I liked Bob suggesting he used a different name.

I agree, not to mention the defense Lee plays.

I don't know much about defensive stats but isn't Aramis a pretty good defensive player?

He's not a liability by any means, but Lee is one of the best at his positions while Ramirez would probably rank in the middle of the pack defensively at 3B when compared throughout the league.

Is it just me or are Len and Bob meaner, in a good way, this year? I think it's hilarious.

When we're 20 games out in July they should be lobbing some real grenades.

I would say they are a wash. I would have been with you and said Aramis but then I actually looked it up. Lee has a higher OPS with the Cubs than Aramis and they both came around the same time (Aramis had half year in 2003, Lee started in 2004).

Starting in '04 Aramis has a better OPS by a 3-2 margin with a wash in '07. Aramis has been extremely consistent while Lee has had some ridiculously good years and some mediocre ones but overall Lee has the slightly higher OPS (.923-.909).

He's a little below average.
