Yeah, I guess we should start talking about whether the Big 10 can get 7 teams. I don't know if PSU can feel too comfortable unless they win tomorrow. I think Michigan, Illinois and Michigan State are all in, but all 3 of them can sweat if PSU wins tomorrow.

I think the hierarchy of bubble teams at this point is MSU, Illinois, Michigan, then Penn State, but PSU went from barely on the radar to last 4 out/in range.

This game beat the previous tournament record for lowest combined score by SIXTEEN POINTS

just the perfect storm... good defensive teams, bad shooters, big ten pace of play. gotta love big ten hoops.

I will defend B1G basketball to the death, but I'm speechless right now

PSU is 338th of 345 in adjusted tempo and wisconsin is tied for last... these are not exactly dynamic teams.

Is MSU 1 cause of their win today? They dropped all their early test. Not a better record then Mich or Ill.

I guess I'd go Mich, Ill, then MSU, but MSU's name holds more weight. I guess they're all about equal.

PSU still needs 1 more win at least, if not the 'ship.

ND just brutally efficient offensively in the Big East tournament. If they could just play this way 7 more games after this I don't know who would stop them.

Wait, when did Luke Harangody start wearing Jack Cooley's jersey? They are dopplegangers.

Brey is Hansbrough's illegitimate father.

Like I said those 3 are all about the same. I put Illinois over Michigan despite the win today because they have a slightly better resume than Michigan. Put MSU above Illinois because, I dont know. They have similar resumes and I didn't want to put Illinois first after losing today combined with MSU whipping Purdue.

Horrible logic I know.

The amazing thing about the Penn State game is they had 10 points in the first 3 minutes and 18 in the first 10 minutes, meaning they scored only 26 in the last 37 and 18 in the last 30.

If Notre Dame can't make the Big East final with the draw they had and the team they had, they're just never going to make it. 3 of the last 5 years we've made it to the semis and lost in gut-wrenching fashion. Ben Hansbrough was hideous tonight, but he'd been red-hot for weeks so I guess he was due.

The good news is that ND can still be a 1 seed, but the committee would have to be unusually nice to us and unusually overlooking of Duke, two things that don't often happen.

And as I've never hesitated to point out, being the top 2, which is probably the fate awaiting us unless Maryland beats Duke tomorrow, is beyond my wildest dreams for this program anyway, so I have nothing to complain about.

I hope Illinois gets a 10-12 seed... avoid the 8/9 games and they could catch lightning in a bottle for a couple games and upset a team or two... and anyone from the 3-6 lines is a beatable team this year...

And yes, I realize it is sad that the program has come to this, fans hoping for a couple upsets to make the Sweet 16

I don't think Illinois avoids the 8-9 seed.

Even if we get in, who doesn't see this same damn game happening again? The Bruce Weber era.

When you've go PG who refuses to take the ball to the hoop and two other starting seniors who want anything else but the ball in pressure time easily. I wouldn't be so quick to write off next season as more of the same, you've got a whole different mentally with Richmond, Paul, etc. They actually appear to have some balls, I don't know if it was drawn up that way but, I thought it was fitting Paul took the last shot. He missed but, at least he drove to the hoop. Once again, I too am pissed off, frustrated with Weber but, he cannot make McCamey, Davis or Tisdale grow some - nobody can.

I agree with the above. Yesterday's loss was squarely on the players. The offense stagnated, they had no response and no one knew what they were doing. Four seniors on the floor. Let me repeat FOUR SENIORS. They shouldn't have to be coached in that situation, they should just do. McCamey should have taken that game over and gone to the hoop, but he's a chicken [expletive] and doesn't deserve to wear the jersey.

Lunardi has Illinois as an 11 seed vs Cincy right now. Winner would probably get San Diego St. Id take that draw over any of the 8/9 scenerios

Come on, Wolverines. Keep the upset train rolling here

If Michigan could win, they are 4-0 this year against the teams on the other side of the bracket :)

Can one of you bracket nerds tell me if USC is really going to make the tournament? I figured they were done when they lost to Arizona last night.

They probably needed that win. The Big Ten bubble teams's performance last night did them in.
