Iowa scores 111 points. Haven't seen a point total like that in a long time.

 

Yeah they were absolutely awful but that was still fun. Highest margin of victory since 1966.

 

It's a big blow to have Cully out for 6-8 weeks though. Cartwright isn't a dropoff at starter but it eliminates depth. Kind off explains the way he's looked this year too.

I think DePaul this season might be the worst major conference basketball team in D1 history.

Just because I was curious, the lowest rated major conference basketball team since Ken Pomeroy started keeping track (2003) was Oregon State, 2008. It's a really low bar, one I think DePaul isn't bad enough to reset.

After Iowa's huge win and Michigan's close loss to Syracuse, everyone in the Big Ten is currently inside Pomeroy's top 85. Individually the Big Ten is predicted to go 8-3 in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge though 3 of the Big Ten's wins are virtual toss-ups. Iowa, Purdue and Penn State are the 3 Big Ten wins with less than 69% certainty and they're right at 52/53%.

Boy was that ND/Cal game ugly. Wisconsin probably loved watching it through :wink:

 

Really glad the Irish get a good Wisconsin team added to an already solid non-conference slate. It'll help the RPI/SOS significantly. Even better would be if they can beat the Badgers.

Remember that Illini football game in Detroit against Western Michigan? The best AD in the Nation got pushed into this game as part of that deal. Thanks Ron Guenther

I lack an Xbox. However, I am pleasantly surprised by Kaplan's play by play. This duo isn't too bad. Plus, I have not seen a Geico commercial yet, so I am a happy camper.
