Iowa might be fielding a 6-7 man team this season, and they're going to be really really bad.

Yeah I'm sure you're right. Gatens, Cole, May, Cougill, McCabe, Marble and likely Cully. Fran is going to be content with that. He's not going to even try to recruit anyone else. He's just gonna say "eff it, I'm good with 6-7 guys".

Did I say Iowa was going to field a 6-7 man team? I think I used the word might there.

This is even worse. If you threw it out there trying to be funny or absurd, whatever. Now you're actually defending it by pointing out your use of "might". If if were anyone else I wouldn't believe it.

Funny - yes.

No real confirmation, but chatter is that Ricardo Ratliffe and Matt Pressey have both committed this weekend. Mizzou may be numerically forced to start a freshman after next season, but they look real strong for the next two years.

I'm still shocked. Pressey I figured we'd get, but I didn't think we had a chance at Ratliffe. What a huge weekend and a great job by Anderson and Co.

And Iowa loses another... Ben Brust has been granted his release. It took less than a week to go from 1 open scholarship to 4 for next season. Next up, Cully Payne?

I think there's a chance Brust may re-commit.

As do I. I also think Larson will try getting back on board if he doesn't get another D1 offer.

Isn't Larson a 4 star? Have to believe that he will get some looks.

He's a 3-star with some character issues. I would tend to think he'd get some looks, but I've heard he isn't all that keen on going too far from SD. I believe Minnesota has shown some interest, but ultimately I think he'll end up at one of the little SD schools.

Hmm on the scout board they have a thread saying he's a 4 star. Oh well, I would imagine he could still end up at Iowa.

He very well could be. I don't really put a lot of stock in those aside from the guys with 5 or 1. I think his stock has fallen quite a bit because of the way he ended his senior season. Getting kicked off the team probably isn't the best way to finish your HS career.

True, there are better ways to wrap up your high school career.

DMac enters the draft.

I don't think he stays in, but it still scares the hell out of me

Jereme Richmond might be playing some point guard next year.

I was shocked to hear Weber mention him as a possibility in that Klee Q&A

Me too, but it sounds like he's thinking about it at least.

Holy cow, Missouri landing two JUCO All-Americans? What in the Bill Snyder got into CMA and company?

Good health next season and they'll be back in the tournament. Championship contender in 2012.

That seems like a stretch.

DMac enters the draft.

Chuck spoke directly with an official from the school and heard that he has a meeting set with Bruce on Wednesday, but there's no final decision or press conference set at this time.

Now, it's most likely that he is going to declare anyway, but apparently the report has been a bit exaggerated at this point. However, DMac has nothing to lose by declaring and attending a few workouts.
