Absolute must win for the Packers. I have little confidence in the Redskins to be able to do anything and the Panthers are always inconsistent. I'm assuming the Vikings won't clinch home field this week so at least they'll probably be playing their starters versus the Giants in week 17.

Come on, Cowboys. Don't crap the bed after the big win. Go to Washington and take care of business and then host the Eagles at home with the division championship on the line.

Absolute must win. I hope Minnesota is still playing for something come Week 17 too.

i don't think you have much to worry about; the redskins have stopped trying and are waiting to be coached by shanahan next year.

So Childress thinks his hall of fame QB calling an audible 5 times a game is too much?

Wow. I think I'm beginning to understand why, despite having an overall great season, many Viking fans just don't like this guy. That seems insane.

Wow. I think I'm beginning to understand why, despite having an overall great season, many Viking fans just don't like this guy. That seems insane.

According to sources, Favre dislikes that Childress seldom discusses the game plan with him during the week, and does not encourage the quarterback to offer suggestions as to which plays he feels most comfortable calling in certain situations. When Favre changes the play at the line of scrimmage -- using his film study and experience -- Childress bristles, even when the audible Favre calls works perfectly.

Childress is sounding like a douchebag. Of course the reports might not be true, but still.

It's ESPN's lead story right now. If it's true that Childress really thinks it is wrong for Favre to audible, then he's an idiot.

And it's really stupid for Childress to behave as if he didn't know exactly what he was getting when he pursued Favre. This is what the man is. Pretending he's Tavaris Jackson who needs to be spoon-fed plays is just dumb.

So the Lions might have the best coach in the division. More so because he hasn't done it long enough for him to be considered dumb yet.

I agree with your second paragraph, but if Favre is audibling too often and not giving maybe the best RB in the league a shot to take over the game, Favre is wrong. Favre thinks he knows best, but he tanked late in the season last year, and his audibling in the last game of the year blew the Jets's playoff chance. If I remember correctly, Thomas Jones was running all over the place during that particular drive, but Favre thought he knew better, audibled, and threw a terrible interception that cost them the game. Childress is right here, but he should have known what he was getting into.

I love the timing of this San Diego/Tennessee game tomorrow night. With the game being played before any others, I'll know before Sunday whether the rest of the games are important to the Titans' playoff chances or not.

As for the game itself, it's going to take a great game by Tennessee to win. San Diego has solid talent and is playing at its full capability right now. The question is there whether or not the Chargers will be playing at their best since they're all but assured the #2 seed. I expect they will and, with Bulluck out for the year, that'll make it tough for the Titans to win.

Finnegan/Harper/Hood will have to play very well against Floyd, Jackson and Gates and the D-line will likely have to slow down LT and Sproles without blitz help. It's a winnable game, but we'll have to play very well.

I think they are very beatable. Just a solid but not real spectacular team.

Will be cheering for Tenn. too.

This will be a good barometer for whether the Titans can compete in the playoffs (should they get there). If they've improved enough to defend against Rivers, they can win a game or two in the playoffs potentially. If the Chargers handle them like the Colts did three weeks ago, we'll likely not win a game if we make the playoffs.

Anthony Gonzalez is officially out for the season. The Colts have done alright without him, but I was looking forward to having him back for the playoffs.

Obviously I know nothing. Chargers looking great and Tenn looking bad.
