I think SD is one of the top three teams in the league.

Yeah. They are looking awfully good.

Having them in the mix and playing great will only make the playoffs that much more interesting, from my perspective.

Man, we simply weren't good at all tonight. Our corners struggle against corners that win physically at the line of scrimmage and Finnegan and Harper simply couldn't bump Floyd and Jackson off their routes. Once a receiver gets a clean release off the line, our corners are beat. This team needs an athletic, coverage-oriented safety/corner in the offseason. Eric Berry would be perfect for this team.

The Chargers are a really good team, but are beatable. It'll be an interesting playoff setup, especially if the Colts/Chargers meet in the AFC Championship game in Indy.

CJ only needs 128 yards against the Seahawks to get 200. That's very possible for him.

If they didn't have Norv Turner as a HC, they'd look like a much more legitimate playoff threat.

some would say that Turner's offense is what has put them in this position.

Anthony Gonzalez is officially out for the season. The Colts have done alright without him, but I was looking forward to having him back for the playoffs.

This was unfortunate. I know there was some debate if bringing him back could result in a situation like Marvin Harrison in 2007-08, but, at worst, it would have been nice to have Gonzalez back as insurance. Hopefully he's fully recovered for next season.

Oh, and not to your post, but it's been pretty apparent that San Diego was a top-3 team for quite some time.

Two years ago I would have agreed on Turner. But they have seemed to have figured it out under him starting last year. He doesn't really seem to be a liability anymore.

He's a virtual lock to beat Faulk's record for yards from scrimmage in a season. He's at 2355 and needs 75 yards to break that.

What a fun player to watch. At the Colts game a few weeks ago, the crowd almost in unison gasped every time he touched the ball (as did I). Seems like he could go for 80 every touch. Wish the Colts weren't doomed to face him twice a year for the foreseeable future.

I look rather foolish now for panning that pick when they made it. He's truly a special player and I love having him on the Titans.

Yeah, for shits and giggles I looked back and read a little of that 2008 nfl draft thread - pretty funny stuff.

Well it's weird because [the Titans] are taking another big risk at RB just like they did last year. However, he's ridiculously quick and is a great return man. The reward is there, but it's another huge risk when [the Titans] had other more pressing needs.

That was about the only positive thing said about Chris Johnson and even that was an underwhelming endorsement.

Keep in mind that the Chargers have bounced the colts out of the playoffs the last two years as well. A Chargers/Saints Super Bowl would be very interesting.

I'm hoping for a Chargers-Cowboys Super Bowl myself.

I had the opinion that he was a really nice player with a ton of speed, but that drafting a running back was overkill and that we had more pressing needs. I liked CJ, but didn't think he'd be this good.

and now it looks like chris brown sucks and lendale white will never be more than a short-yardage guy. i guess the moral of the story is, if you spot special talent, take it and then worry about how to get it onto the field later.

also, it seems like around the league, most teams have a good change of pace rb or are finding better success with their fast RB. like the giants and ahmad bradshaw, who has been better than brandon jacobs.

I actually thought Chris Henry ought to get an opportunity to play since we used a second round pick on him. You're probably right on taking a special talent when you find him, though.
