Also, anybody else love the irony of a group fighting for the "ethical" treatment of animals is also promoting cutting off portions of their genitals?

no

yeah, roast, you may want to ask your professors to explain irony to you

an outcome of events contrary to what was, or might have been, expected.

I would have expected a group fighting for the "ethical" treatment of animals to be against cutting off portions of their genitals.

Shhh. Don't introduce logic into his love affair with me.

it's a painless procedure that keeps thousands of dogs and cats from being ditched and homeless and/or put down. spaying and neutering is completely 100 percent ethical

No [expletive], Sherlock. That's why it was a joke. You know as well as I do that I wasn't being serious. I was just playing with the idea of being in favor of ethical treatment of some one or some thing and then wanting to chop up its genitals.

Anyway, on topic, I don't know if it's been posted here or not - but according to ESPN Gatorade has now dropped Tiger. Odd timing, but whatever.

What? I made joke. And then I explained it. Are you really THAT worried about it?

But seriously, on topic, why would Gatorade drop Tiger now? And more importantly, what will become of the delicious 'tiger' gatorade?

you also need to have him school you on the concept of "joking"

also; gatorade dropped the tiger drink months ago. nice going.

Peta planned billboard http://assets.nydailynews.com/img/2010/02/26/alg_peta_tiger-woods.jpg

According to TMZ.com, PETA may pull their plans to post the ad, explaining, "In light of conversations we have had with Mr. Woods' attorneys, plans to run our billboard are on hold at this time."

That's a pretty great billboard, but I'm pretty sure I can guess the content of the conversations with tiger's attorneys. still, getting the image online is probably as effective than renting billboard space, and certainly more cost-effective.

that was a joke? Given your "hatred" of peta, I thought you were 100% serious that you thought it was ironic. I just thought you had no idea that it's actually undoubtedly ethical to spay or neuter your pet. I don't agree with imb that your use of ironic was improper. I think you were just wrong on the ethical part, which made your use of "ironic" suspect. He's right about the joking thing though.

He'll play in the Masters.

Tiger Woods will return to play in the Masters, he said in a statement today. It will be Woods' first golf tournament and second public appearance since his post-Thanksgiving car crash and ensuing sex scandal.

The Masters is going to be a circus. Gotta be a mixed blessing for them. They've got that whole pristine image going on, and the press room is going to be full of idiots from the tabloids and E! news. On the other hand, of course, the ratings will be fantastic.

Actually it is probably the most controlled environment of any tournament, and I would guess Augusta National will be able to control most of the circus type stuff by just not allowing it on site. From what I understand, they control everything involved in that tourny and are very swift in laying down the law.

I suppose they could crack down on press credentials. I have no idea how that works.

They don't let women play there, they could just not let them in at all.

Tiger is going to be on his best behavior, but I am kind of hoping for a meltdown on national tv. He's got a little Happy Gilmore in him, he just needs to release it.
