cripes. I'm a huge fan of Weis and I'll always be thankful for what he did for ND. But he has to be fired. How do you let a guy rush the punter all out in that situation?

That was a horse [expletive] roughing call though. In an unrelated story, Pitt has a chance at an at-large BCS bid and more money for the Big East.

oh come on. everyone bitches in this thread about calls. there were pitchforks out for the Iowa/Indiana game and there was maybe one Hoosier fan even here.

i think we discussed in one of these threads the worst places to go in the bcs conferences. if i remember correctly there was good agreement on:

 

acc: nowhere really that bad... maybe va tech (blacksburg)

big east: uconn (storrs)

big ten: indiana (bloomington) and purdue (e. lafayette)

big xii: iowa st (ames), kansas st (manhattan), texas tech (lubbock), baylor (waco), maybe okie st (stillwater) too?

pac 10: wazzu (pullman)... maybe oregon st (corvallis)?

sec: miss st (starkville)

 

Corvallis isn't bad at all.

 

The Big XII has the market cornered on the bad town thing. Almost all of them suck. And it's hard for me to say that, since I hate the Southeast in general.

TCU taking care of business, up 28-7 on Utah with 12 minutes to go in the 2nd.

 

tcu is really really good. they're not going to get a shot at the title but hopefully they play a team like alabama or florida in a bcs bowl.

It's subjective. I just dislike it. And yes, I have stayed there. I don't care the lame aristocratic pretenses, the political leanings or the "good ole' boy" mentality. I don't like the weather, the accents, grits, sweet tea or mint juleps (yes, that last part was tongue in cheek).

 

Outside of Appalachia, there is no place in the U.S. I like to be less than the Southeast.

That's one of the most brutal single man hits on a receiver I've ever seen that didn't involve spearing. Forearm and helmet to the face, ouch. One of those hits that makes you glad to see legs moving. Edited by Careless

If La Tech somehow beat LSU and TCU continued to paste Utah I wonder what the shakeout would be.

 

LSU is the "third wheel" of the SEC, so their BCS ranking is inconsequential
