DRose still not getting calls...

 

 

Yea it was a foul, but 99.99% of the time its not getting called at the end of the game. I disagree with King that Kobe, Roy, etc... get that call

Man, idk. At the end of the game the refs swallow their whistles unless someone is laying on the ground murdered

Made it interesting, but it's still a good win.

 

I'll be at Conseco tomorrow to see us try to move into a tie for 5th.

My buddy's gonna be there w/ his family. I'm jealous.

Did Portland really call timeout with 1.4 seconds left down by 4?

 

with the things the bulls were doing down the stretch, i wouldn't put it past them to foul on a 3 point attempt at the buzzer

 

i've never seen a team do so many things wrong in an overtime period and still win.

 

oh well, good win. i really wish they'd shut down noah though. he was all kinds of gimpy

Yay, I just had another freakout on RealGM. We won despite ourselves!

 

We had a stretch in OT where everything bad that could happen happened.

 

(Bulls start this with a 5 point lead)

 

-Bulls force miss

-Noah misses 2 FTs

-Bulls force miss

-Bulls throw ball away as Gibson can't handle pass

-Bulls force miss

-Noah throws ball away under the bucket

-Blazers get easy basket (3 point lead)

-Bulls turn ball over

-Brandon Roy misses 2 FTs

-Aldridge tips in second miss. (1 point lead)

-Deng misses his first FT.

 

Then from there everything went right. Deng misses 2nd FT and then Roy misses a 3, the Bulls rebound and dish it out to Deng breaking away...and you know the rest.

I counted 6 critical errors the Bulls made at the end of regulation and the end of OT, and they still won despite it.

 

1. Hinrich missing a breakaway layup that would have made it a 5 point lead with 1 minute left.

2. Rose getting trapped and throwing the ball right to Portland for a breakaway that I believe Portland scores on.

3. Miller missing a FT that would have made it a 3 point game with 23 seconds left

4. Noah missing 2 FTs with the Bulls up by 5 and ready to put away the game.

5. Next possession same scenario, Gibson can't catch a pass from Noah that looked like it would end up as a dunk had Gibson caught it cleanly.

6. Noah gets a key rebound with the Bulls up 5 with a minute left in OT and immediately throws the ball to Portland for an easy 2 points.

 

And I'm not even including not boxing out Aldridge well enough after Roys second FT miss allowing him to tip it in.

 

Regardless, it wasn't a pretty finish, but at the same time that they made those critical errors, they also did several good things to get the win over a good team, so it's not all doom and gloom.

Just for fun, if anyone was wondering how Salmons and Tyrus are doing with their new teams:

 

Thomas: 12.8 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 3.4 BPG, 1.2 SPG, 58.1% FG%, 73.7 FT%, 26.8 MPG

Salmons: 18.2 PPG, 2.4 RPG, 2.4 APG, 39.4% FG%, 30.4% 3PT%, 84.8 FT%, 35.6 MPG

 

They're not playing horrible, but they're not making the Bulls regret trading them.
