I love when SEC fans bag on the Big Ten for having crap OCC schedules. LOLOLOLOL

Would you consider playing ranked teams like Ohio State and Notre Dame on the road (like USC did) as difficult as playing Akron, Temple and Eastern Illinois at home. Whew how did Penn State beat those powerhouses?

Did USC join the SEC? I do believe the Pac 10 year in year out play the best non con overall though

and you are correct. Do bad it doesn't help in the BCS.

Penn State decided that they didn't want a close game any more.

kafka hurting his hammy really killed northwestern's chances to win this game.

big games the next two weeks to shake out the conference, with osu @ psu next week and then iowa @ osu the following week. wisconsin is also in the mix for a new year's day bowl (they could easily win out @indy, vs michigan, @northwestern). i don't see michigan st winning out (they're the other team with 2 losses or less, but they are @minn, @purdue, vs psu).

I wouldn't cry if Kafka is out next week. And I'll be rooting hard for Penn State next week.

I really wish ND could get these Big Ten teams to play them later in the year. The Sept. 12th Michigan is miles better than the team that's been playing in conference play.

so big ten teams all get worse as the season goes on?

Well, apparently Michigan does in 2009.

Seems predictable when your QB is a teenager, weighs 170 pounds, and takes a beating in the spread every game. After 5 games, getting hit 25 times a game by guys that weigh between 30 and 150 pounds more than you do would take its toll.

very much looking forward to the usc-oregon game, as well as the phillies-yankees game. texas-okie st will be decent if texas has a letdown.

oklahoma is already laying the beat down on kansas st.

I might be alone here, but the Tennessee jerseys are awesome. Even cooler was how they introduced them.

I'm not crazy about them. I wish they were in the all-orange.

White numbers with orange trim might make them better.

why on earth is the usc game blacked out here? espn was bragging all week that the 2 games would be on espn or abc, depending on your area. i've got directtv and live in MO. so im stuck with tex game and rain delay.

I like the jerseys, but they look freaking weird with the white helmets.

My friend had an extra ticket to the Illini game today. I was bummed that I missed Purdue/Wisconsin and Indiana/Iowa for tailgating, but oh well. Judging from the numbers, apparently every offensive player for the Badgers ran the ball today. This was the sharpest I had ever seen Juice Williams and the Illini look in a really, really, really long time. Tate Forcier is not good. He does a bad job of sensing the pressure, can't secure the ball to save his life, and makes some really questionable decisions when under pressure. Maybe he'll develop, but still, yeesh.

UCD gave up 42 points in the first half today and lost 56-35. They were tied at 21 at one point before Southern Utah scored 28 straight. UCD got back to within 14 but a pick six ended that.

Also, with Cal Poly's loss, no Great West team will be able to be eligible for the postseason.
