Were they calling for one when they were 3-1? With the players the Bears have, they are only 8-8 or 9-7. The coaching staff can't get any more than that out of them.

 

The Bears need new players more than a new staff.

At the beginning, absolutely. I think it affected everything else that happened, and the organization should have been smart enough to prevent it from happening.

 

If you know you just spent a top 5 pick on a sensitive guy, you don't let Kreutz, Jones and Urlacher behave like d bags in public and in private.

 

There was one guy on the entire D that wasn't a dick to him, and I know this firsthand.

i made excuses for him, too. i thought benson was a smart, articulate, sensitive guy that was getting harrassed. but that's the NFL. football players are douches.

 

kreutz, urlacher, and jones were the heart and soul of the superbowl team, you don't tell them what they can and can't do in the locker room. benson's getting babied, great, that's what he needed, that's what he got his entire life. but just because he wasn't babied in chicago doesn't mean he got a raw deal.
