When is Bolland due to be back? Or, was his injury a season ending one?

The most refreshing aspect of the Hawks, besides winning, compared to the Bears and Bulls is they're truly a good team, not the poor teams that are the Bears and Bulls. It's ashame ND gets more coverage in Chicago then this really good Blackhawk team.

I believe Bolland was expected to miss as much as 4 months. With an early November surgery that would keep him out until March, which might give him a month to get back into playing shape before the playoffs.

Hossa's return Wednesday night promises to make for a great start to the Thanksgiving weekend, win or lose. I'm pretty excited for it.

So, it reads as if he's effectively done for the season.

Not to me. It's nearly a 7 month season with another 2 months of playoffs, and the Blackhawks should qualify. He could play 3 more months when he returns. That would mean he missed half the season. Done for the season means he's not playing until next year at the earliest, like Brian Urlacher.

It's time to see if the Blackhawks are really above the mediocrity and depression that is Chicago sports.

If they are no different than the Bears and Bulls, Hossa will come out, give up 4 own goals and the Blackhawks lose big.

They've already beaten the Sharks at home a little while ago. And they're off to a great start on the circus trip.

They don't need to win this game for me to continue thinking they are above the rest of the Chicago sports fray.

It would be nice if they won, but I'm not hanging any judgements about the team on it.

I have GOT to find a place to watch this game.

Yeah, you do. I'm going to have a house full of people, but come 9:30 they better clear out of the TV room.

But I hope there isn't a huge letdown in the play, with the expectations for this one.

I'm honestly not concerned whether they win tonight or not. It's really the Red Wings they have to show they can beat.

Didn't last year's success prove that the Blackhawks aren't mediocre? We're already 3-0 on the circus trip and we've been on a tear lately. I'm not really worried if we win or lose tonight. This team has already shown that they're among the league's elites and now they're getting one of the best players in the league back from injury.

I'm not even so sure about that. They showed Detroit they could beat them a couple years ago and that didn't do anything. I don't think much of showcase regular season games as far as messages go. I just want to see my team win.

Three and a half to gametime! Can't believe I'm this excited about a game in November.

Have Sabres/Caps to hold me over, at least.
