Kansas State's QB is from Peculiar, Missouri.

Cal Poly's QB was 1-for-11 for 12 yards and 2 INT passing today against Ohio.

I agree with the Bo Pelini hate from earlier in this thread.

I've only seen about 4 games he's head coached and I've already seen him lose his cool more times than the rest of the coaches I've seen combined. When his team doesn't perform well he takes it with the grace of a 5 year old.

Following Bill Callahan that's kinda funny.

Jesus. This Ark/UGA game is ridiculous. How about a little defense? It's like watching an NBA All-Star game.

So yeah, that was disappointing, but not so much for the loss as for the pathetic performance in pass defense. That's not a good sign for the forthcoming season. Arkansas still has one of the best offenses in the country, so that should get them into a bowl game, but the schedule is not friendly.

Oh and might I add I look like quite the dumbass after counting out UW before the game even started. I thought USC would've been surprised by a Pac 10 team later in the season, but I thought there was no chance USC would have overlooked Washington. I guess their QB problems might be problematic all year long.

Yeah, that offense is too one-dimensional, especially with Ronald Johnson out at WR. The defense is still good but not as good as the past few seasons.

I wish I had posted here that I thought UW had a chance, I did say that elsewhere (Locker is a dynamic talent, certainly better than Pryor). I didn't think UW would pull it off. Figured Sarkisian would know how to take on USC.

So, any chance that BYU falls completely out of the top 25? Because they should.

If anything, FSU will probably vault up to the top 18-20.

BYU should fall to at least 20th, though.

It took playing in the least intimidating stadium in DI-A against a pretty bad Kent State without their star RB, but Iowa State finally won a road game tonight, 34-14. Up next is Army, then K-State in KC, so there's a chance for confidence building before they have to play real teams again.

It's disgusting how much love these idiot FSN announcers give both of the teams after the game. They did the same thing last week with Oregon and Purdue and now they did it with UCLA and Kansas St. Apologies to all of the K-State fans on here, but that team sucks and it's going to take a couple of years to clean up that mess. There's no sugarcoating that crap.

Leach is rightfully upset that the officials blew the last play of the first half dead when Potts didn't come close to taking a knee. Still, isn't it common for coaches to let officials in on potential trick plays like that prior to the game? It seems like Leach could've communicated better with the officials at some point to avoid that.

A few years ago Peyton Manning (still with the Colts) ran a fake spike play right before the half. Every defensive player thought he spiked it, so they all stopped. The Colts ended up scoring on the play (can't remember if he threw it or ran it), but it was called back because the refs thought he spiked it so they blew the play dead.

I say all that only to point out that I don't know whether trick plays are always communicated to the refs or not, but it's happened before that trick plays will confuse even the refs.

Refs actually got that call right in the Texas, though I had no idea that was the rule prior to that play.

So I didn't realize ND's defense was just reverting to "completely crappy" after the Nevada game. Jon Tenuta should be fired immediately for giving up 450+ to Michigan freaking State.

That was an awesome ending and a "thank-God" win to get the stupid streak off our backs, but with Floyd out, very little chance of getting to a BCS game unless ND can gut out wins over all their non-USC opponents until he gets back. Hopefully Jimmy is ok, he was limping around the last 2 1/2 quarters of the game and is getting x-rays on his foot this week.

Golden Tate can stop dropping the ball any time now. Glad he got it together in time to catch the game winning TD.

I would say there was a very little chance of a BCS bowl before the season started.

Their offense has looked extremely impressive. The defense though, not so much.

I'm hesitant to use the H-word (especially because the media has preordained it a two-man race between McCoy and Tebow), but Jimmy Clausen has been absolutely phenomenal this season. Over 900 yards, nine touchdowns, no picks, and 22/31 today marks his worst completion percentage of the year.
