Change the Cubs logo, colors and/or uniform?

A friend of mine were talking about this and whether or not Ricketts would ever change anything about the Cubs appearance - logo, colors, uniform, etc. My friend argued no way, while I stated that I would welcome small changes.

 

I would welcome a darker shade of blue... the type of blue that the Cardinals use for their road caps. I would drop their current logo and get rid of the modern C, unless they alternate it to make it look more interesting. As for the main logo, I like the one on my windbreaker, linked below.

Would Cub fans be accepting of any color/logo changes?

Add stripes on the sleeves of the road unis. Like the Yankees do. It looks classy and it makes your road greys, which can get kind of boring, look not so lazy.

 

I think our home uniforms are some of the best in baseball, but I'm not a huge fan of pinstripes in general. I think we need to ditch the stupid blue alternates and go with an off-white, non pinstriped jersey/pants combo using http://images.auctionworks.com/hi/21/20893/cubs_-_old_style_bear_face.jpg which is a fantastic logo.

HATE the Cubbie-Bear logo. I wouldn't mind them dropping the pinstripes, but I don't hate them. Just would like to see a darker shade of blue more than anything. I kind of hate (not just for the Cubs) the combination of red and blue, unless it is supposed to be patriotic.

Red and blue go great together. And the cubbie bear logo is amazing. Z always wears a blue pullover with the logo really similar to what IMB posted during pre-game warmups and it looks snazzy as hell. I don't know where he got it from because I've never seen anyone else in one, but I vote they become mandatory.

Absolutely not. There's nothing wrong with any of the Cubs' present logos, colors or uniforms (silence you godless heathens, the blue jerseys are fine).

 

Introduce some sort of throwback alternate if you must, but leave everything else as is.

Logo and uni's have continuously evolved over time, don't see any reason that would stop.

Yeah, I don't get how people can think Cubs fans wouldn't accept such change from the new owner when during the relatively brief Trib years it changed quite a bit.

Probably my favorite Cubs hat ever. When I first heard they were doing a throwback game last year I really hoped they would go with those...no such luck, though.
