Man how can you people all be Packers fans? They're green and stupid. I just never understood why anyone would want to be affiliated with that team.

Green's a great color.

Not with Yellow.

That's a very good point!

Packers 27, Bears 20

Olsen is going to have a huge game.

At this time tommorrow the Packers will be 1-0 :D

You're right. The Packers will have a 1 and a 0 for their record after tomorrow night, BUT the order of those numbers are abit hazy right now.

Cutler .v. Rodgers is going to be crazy. I have a feeling that those two will be in a "top this" type of game tomorrow with their passes.

Stupid schedule. There is no worse way to start the season than by losing to the Packers. On the other hand, there is no better way to start the season than by beating the Packers. If we lose then it only gets worse because we get the Steelers next week. If we're gonna get the defending champions in week two, at least give us week one at home. We could end up being the best 0-2 team in history by next Sunday.

Thank God. It's finally Sunday. I may be the only soul in all of Hungary walking around in a Bears jersey.

Sounds like a safe bet. And you've got the 2:20 am start time to look forward to, if I've got my time zones right

Nothing takes my mind off a crappy Cubs season like the first Sunday of the NFL season.

Definitely. I was even more interested in watching the Bears' final preseason game (the Denver game) than watching Cubs' games (of which I've watched exactly zero over the past week and a half or so). It says something when you're more interested in watching a game that doesn't count than one that does.

Calm down....I promise you we'll be alright, even if we start 0-2

Anyone else think that as the season progresses Edgar Bennett is going to emerge as a big time WR?

I believe the key for a Bears win is the DL, they've got to get some pressure on Rodgers, that'll hide a terrible Bears secondary. In the preseason I saw recievers wide, wide open everytime the QB had a chance, I don't believe that'ds going to change in the regular season.

If Edgar Bennett emerges as a big time WR I hope the Bears either trade for him, or sign him as a free agent!

Of course, I meant Earl Bennett! Bears playing the Packers, having flashbacks of Edgar Bennett being their Jeff Blauser.

Ha I know just giving you a hard time. And yes I think Bennet by the end of the year could be a big time WR.

Way to many people are high on the Packers right now.

And I'm surprised. They are the one good team in the division (Lions don't count) that didn't make a big deal in the offseason.

Bears went 9-7 last year.

They've upgraded the offense at 6 positions, QB, TE (though admittedly, Olsen isn't really "new"), WR (bennett) and 3 OL spots. That's a lot of new. I think our WR's are going to be a whole lot better than people think that they are.

I don't think the D-line and the secondary are separate concerns. I think if the D-line is successful, that means pressure on the QB, and an easier time for the secondary. If they don't get that pass rush, then the secondary is going to be exposed as they have to keep up with receivers for longer. I think they're very, very much tied together.

I can't ever remember one team gaining so much media love based on the preseason.

Especially a team that couldn't stop the run last year and had a RB who was inconsistent at best. Why are the Packers so much better than last year? The 3-4? But there is no way to determine how good they will be right now.

Grant had 1200 yards during a 'down' year. That's not bad.

Well if you want you could say, there is no way to determine how good anyone will be right now. :)

You possibly can if you look at improvements made. Look at your team last year and examine what additions were made. The Packers were a bad team last year and didn't do much to improve. The Bears got way better. The Bears were better than the Packers last year. They will be better this year too. But all this Packer love is crazy. It is unwarranted.

On 312 carries. He averaged less than 4 ypc in an offense with a great passing game and wasn't a threat as a receiver.

I definitely don't see anything wrong with his description as inconsistent. I'm also not sure how you can say that was a "down" year. It's his only year as a feature back.

His YPC sure was, wasn't it?

Yes it was. He has no excuses this year. Last year, he held out for most of training camp and was out of shape. Sure enough, he was banged up against the Vikings and dealt with a couple of nagging injuries for most of the first half last season.

Again, he has no excuses this year. Time for him to put up or shut up this season.

But, but, but they way the played in preseason, I could have sworn they would be Super Bowl bound......
