Not even that, he pissed off some sports writers who then got some of the fans to hate him. I, for one, love Bradley and hope he stays.

Aaahhh....there's that evil media.....

Are there any Cub fans out there that think that maybe Bradley is just an ass, which would explain why he's bounced around so many teams?

Or is there some sort of evil conspiracy to make him look like the bad guy?

So are you saying the media has nothing to do with the fact that Bradley isn't generally liked by the public?

Did the media want to go after a broadcaster in Texas? Did the media fabricate Bradley's outbursts in other towns? Did the media forget how many outs there were in a game? Did the media directly tell Bradley "You're not a ball-player, you're a piece of ####"? (I'm sure Piniella didn't say that, it's was just a media fabrication)

Why has he bounced from team to team if he's a good player? The media?

I don't really [expletive] care why he's bounced from team to team. People are concentrating on all the bad things he says. I've read numerous interviews where he says the fans at Wrigley are awesome, and that he loves playing there. he knows it's just a few rotten apples that keep booing him. Hey, if I were a baseball player and I went 3-4 in a game and people still booed me on that one out, I'd be pretty pissed too.

''All I'm saying is I just pray the game goes nine innings so I can go out there for the least amount of time as possible and go home,'' Bradley said Wednesday before driving in three runs in the Cubs' 9-2 win over the Washington Nationals.

Kinda surprised to see some people so passionately defending Bradley. I can't really think of anything he's done well this season except draw walks. The Cubs need an upgrade in the outfield somewhere, I could very easily see Bradley or Fukudome dealt. If he does return I'd put him in the #2 spot for next season, he seems miscast as a power bat in the middle of the line-up.

That's because he isn't a power bat, and never has been. He's only hit more than 20 homers in a season once, and that was last season in Arlington. His OPS+ is 100 right now, the lowest it's been in 7 years. I'm pretty sure he'll rebound next year. A 1-2 of Fukudome and Bradley would be one of the best tops of the line-up in baseball. They're both very high OBP guys but still have the strength to hit for some power.

Bradley said that Cubs fans, in general, have been "awesome," but added, "One rotten apple can spoil the whole bunch."

The more I watch Kosuke i start to think he is what he is and that is a .255-.260 hitting with a .370-.380 OBP.. yes the OBP is nice at the top but the consistency is the issue... I would see what deals you could make for either Fuku or Bradley, if you can get any return for ONE of the two then trade one of them.. I think this team does need to go in a different direction offensively and unfortunately even if Bradley bounces back a little it seems fairly insufficient to have two 10-15 HR guys who cannot drive in a run in the OF not knowing if Sori can return to form.

If he's a good player why do you care about any of this? I don't doubt that Bradley has pissed off the media in most locales, but I don't give a [expletive].

If you trade Kosuke, who do you replace him with? We don't have anybody in-house who is likely to be as productive as Kosuke and the free agent market isn't awe-inspiring this year.

And a batter having a .370-.380 OBP is very valuable.

I don't give a crap. But for someone to blame Bradley's problems on the media is way off base.

I heard he was walking off the field last night because Paul Sullivan did the vulcan mind meld on him.

I heard Bradley's troubles were all Bruce Miles fault.

or he's just hurt and you're picking at him for reasons unknown to everyone.

Uhhh....no.

If you're hurt, why would you take the field only to walk off? How about telling Piniella before the top of the next inning "My knee hurts, I think I better sit down"? Or would that not be dramatic enough?

I actually told my Cub fan friends who thought he would be a pain in the a** not to worry. He's turned it around. I think he really wants to prove everyone wrong.

If it wasn't for the racist fans and evil media and now injuries, everything would have been solid.

I can't figure out the lengths Cub fans will go to defend this guy. Is it because of the C on the hat?

Oh well, I guess we can look forward to the next two years. Unless Hendry can find a trading partner in a Sosa to Baltimore-like deal.

Yeah, that's the most logical explanation.

Not that he tried to tough it out and take the field, and upon taking it realized he couldn't go. I hate every [expletive] who's been a late scratch to a lineup. [expletive] those guys and their histrionics.

And how many players have you ever seen walk off the field for no apparent reason with no one waiting to run out to replace him?

About 50 pitchers a year.

I must have missed the part in the game where Bradley was pitching. Sorry about that.

So pitchers are allowed to walk off the field with an injury but not OFers. Thanks for the update.

i can't figure out the lengths that people like you will go to attack him. if it were any other player on the field who walked out, and found they couldn't take the pain in (wherever), i'm guessing you wouldn't think anything of it.

Dude, it was awesome. He threw at the first 2 batters and killed the 3rd with his bare hands all the while screaming how Cubs fans suck. But I'm OK with that because I'm pretty sure Buster Olney made him do it.

Agreed, unless it was an "any other player" who was on his 7th team in 9 years with a history of, putting it mildly, erratic behavior who had already been labeled by his current manager as a "piece of s**t", which I've come to find out is probably not accurate due to the Chicago media's obvious mission to destroy Bradley's reputation and to rile up the fans against him.

I always forget that part.

(a) that was during a game almost 3 months ago; lots of people say lots of things during games. \

(b) people like you are the reason that bradley hates fans, and frankly the reason that i hate a lot of fans too.

This whole 7 teams in 9 years thing is incredibly misleading. How do you feel about Reggie Sanders. Was he run out of town 22 years in a row?

Bradley came up with the Expos and was traded straight up for pitching prospect Zach Day in a challenge trade. Bradley sucked with Montreal over ~400 ABs.

Bradley had trouble with the Indians and was ran out of town.

Bradley apparently was run out of town in LA.(Note they got Ethier in return.

Bradley was traded away from Oakland at the deadline when they were out of it and Bradley was up for free agency.

Bradley left San Diego as a free agent, signing a cheap deal with Texas as he ended his San Diego time with an injury after the 1st base umpire instigated him(as corroborated by either SD's 1st base coach or the opponent's 1B, maybe both.) The umpire was fined.

Bradley left Texas as a free agent for big money in Chicago.

Has Bradley been run out of towns before? Yes, the last time being 4 years ago. This constant 7 teams in 9 years implies that teams had Bradley for a year, and couldn't stand the sight of him anymore so they dumped him. It's not true.
