I'm all for Brenly to become the new manager.

Man, you must be misinformed. You know what happened when Brenly was the manager in Arizona? They won the World Series. See that World Series ring?!

I really hope Lou stays around. Its not his fault Hendry had the worst offseason in recent memory. Sure Lou does some things that are annoying, but I'm pretty sure you'll get that with all managers. As far as GM goes, just anyone but Hendry please. I was starting to become a fan after the Harden trade last year but he simply has not done one good thing since then.

And although I think Brenly would do fine as a manager, I rather keep him in the booth with Len.

Please no Brenley. Please, dear god.

Lou is fine. I don't have a problem with him. He tinkers a little too much but a lot of the things he gets ragged on for on here are the result of a lack of performance by the players. I don't like the idea of balance in the line up. I like the idea of good hitters in the lineup no matter what side of the plate they hit. Overall, he's more likely to help the team than hurt it.

He's not great (if that is really possible), but he's a lot better than most. and Brenley is a lot worse than most.

The GM has to change. Hendry's had one of the easiest GM jobs in baseball so his incompetence has been somewhat marginalized by the rest of the field in the NL Central. I'm rooting for Paul DePodesta to be the next GM. He's the one that is responsible for what is going on in LA right now.

Logan White and Kim Ng say hello.

Logan White is the best GM prospect and if they were to replace Hendry, he would be the only one on my list.

The problem with Lou walking is that Hendry might be seen as a lame duck GM. What manager would want to come in for Hendry when it would seem like Hendry would be on the hot seat for next season?

Logan White as GM would be mighty tempting, though. =P~

Chris Antonetti belongs on the list too... but I'd prefer White.

It's amazing how many people want this.

I'm just curious, why is everyone so opposed to this? The guy has won a World Series ring, and as far a I can see, really knows the game and the Cubs personnel.

How many times have you heard him suggesting sac bunts in the first inning?

He won a WS ring riding Schilling and Johnson all the way... he's not a good manager.

I don't really remember him suggesting that in the 1st inning, at least not consistantly. Evens so, I don't agreed with sac bunting in the 1st inning, but if that is the only example of him being a "bad manager", thats not much of an arguement.

He's a big time small ball manager. That's just as dumb and as shortsighted as a manger that lives for the longball.

I think the biggest reason I wouldn't want Lou gone would be that the replacement would more than likely be either Brenly or Sandberg, and I'd much prefer Lou to either.

I think Trammel could be a legit option and I think I would like him.

So why do you think this would be a bad thing? Please give some legit reasons

Yeah, it's really been beaten into the ground ad nauseum.

I'd bet serious money that if Hollandsworth kept up the TV stuff and replaced Bob in the booth people would be clamoring for Todd after a couple crappy season under Brenly.
