So when do these games against teams ahead of us start becoming "must-win"? We've got to be close to that threshold by now.

Tonight is pretty much a must-win with the Phillies headed to Wrigley.

I know it won't happen but the Cubs are truly due a complete laughable game. I would like to see the Cubs put up 3 TDs tonight. Again I know it won't happen, but.....

touchdowns?

21 runs, d'uh.. :)

Actually 3 TD's is only 18, but you also thought Bama would kill Utah.

Oh my god that's disgusting.

I have pined for Theriot and Bradley at the top for OBP purposes. I don't think its that bad really except that the bottom 3rd looks very very anemic...

The lineup makes sense with Ramirez still out. Fox takes over for him. Baker is of course going to be in the lineup against the left-hander.

And then Fuld is a good move tonight. It's a nice night to give Fukudome a day off with both the left-hander on the mound and the spacious dimensions in Colorado. Fuld isn't much worse against left-handers than right-handers, and so this is the perfect day out of the next 10 or 12 to get him in there. (I would like to see Fukudome face at least one of Philly's left-handers and possibly both).

As it stands right now, the only lefty we face in the Philadelphia series is Happ tomorrow........

I still prefer Kosuke in the leadoff spot, but with him not starting, I have no problem at all with Theiot leading off. Especially against a left hander.

Kosuke OBP: .391

Theriot OBP: .348

I've been out of the loop the last few days due to my move to St. Louis. Hopefully we win today, from what I saw in pieces of yesterdays game we looked like absolute crap. I think MLB TV is looking like a hell of an investment for the rest of the season.

Poor bastard. Where you living?

I'm starting law school at SLU, so I am living in a converted mansion across the street from campus on Lindell. It's right next door to that giant Moolah Temple. The neighborhood isn't the greatest, but I'm not far from the CWE. I don't have the internet up and running at my apartment yet, so I have to walk to campus to check my email etc. I thought I could get by not having the web at my place, but I've already talked myself into springing for it.

I got the pitchers from ESPN. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Well Cubs.com is prolly wrong. Pedro is going for sure on Wednesday. It's one of the leads at the bottom of the espn ticker. That means it bumped off Farve and Vick. It has to be correct.

Cubs.com on its probable pitchers has Pedro on Wednesday and Lee on Thursday. That would seem to make the most sense to me. Lee pitched before Blanton the last time they were in the rotation, and I haven't heard anything that would make it likely they would flip them.

Bradley's lack of 'clutch' hitting makes him a better 2 hitter. Leading with Dome then puts both of your biggest LHers back to back. Dome does more down in the order than Theriot does IMO. With Ramirez out, I'd have Dome hitting 4th or 5th to keep the L-R balance in order.

All bets are off with the lefty on the hill. Bradley most assuredly turns around righty and the lineup is basically all RH. Might be a tough night if the kid establishes the outside corner.

Wittenmeyer just tweeted that they are under a several t-storm warning until midnight.

Don't worry, they'll play. Denver weather is totally bizarre. It can be a hellish nightmare of a thunderstorm and then 20 minutes later they are playing ball.

Wel, actually I assume the "extra points" would be made as to the 21 runs. And second I said Bama should beat Utah handedly, not kill. With that said, Bama loss to Utah is no more upsetting then Oklahoma's loss to Boise State,or USC's loss to Stanford. It happens.

With that said, here's to the Cubs beating Colorado.
