Bruce Miles[/url]"]Third-base prospect Josh Vitters played for Class A Daytona yesterday. It was his first action since July 27, as he's been bothered by a left-hand, left-wrist injury that farm director Oneri Fleita told me was more of a "contusion."

The Cubs are easing Vitters back into the Daytona lineup. He had been taking grounders and hitting off a tee before taking BP. Oneri tells me Vitters will go to the instructional league after the season, so the Cubs are pacing him. "He's got a lot of baseball left this year," Oneri said.

I asked this in the game thread but nobody answered. I figured the guys that monitor this thread would probably know.

Is Brad Snyder a defensive liability in the OF? I know he's not on the 40-man roster and Fuld is, but offensively it seems Snyder is much better offensively. Although, the OBP is a little low.

I didn't there would be many scouts anymore as that's mostly done. That's a player, probably a Peoria guy as they usually chart solo and most other teams chart with two to three guys.

He's only using the radar on Shafer. That normal for players to be working on their own teammates?

He's probably a plus defender in RF.
