Prince Fielder tried to get into the Dodger clubhouse to confront Guillermo Mota after Tuesday's game, but he was stopped by teammates and security.

A very good thing for the Brewers. If Fielder had his way, he'd probably be in for a longer suspension than the one Mota is going to get for drilling him in the ninth inning of the blowout. It was also probably a good thing for Mota. It was less good for L.A. area plastic surgeons, who might have been in line for some extra business.

I dont know how much Mota really had to worry about considering Prince reportedly stormed the Dodgers locker room with Ryan Braun, Bill Hall, and 2 other guys, so it would have been a 25 on 5 type of deal. I think its just Prince being frustrated with his own team again, and its better for the Brewers if he go after the other teams players than his own. I think Prince really wants out of Milwaukee ASAP.

Seriously, why not charge the mound if you are that pissed about it? What would be a greater suspension/fine for Fielder: charging the mound and the benches clearing, with maybe 2 total punches thrown... OR... storming into the opposing team's clubhouse and trying to fight him there? Like someone said, the odds he even gets to him in the clubhouse is slim to none.

In summary, the Brewers are a joke.

the article says that his teammates restrained him, and that's what it looked like at first, but as they were leaving, a couple brewers players were cussing at the security guys. this team is falling apart, it's beautiful.

Prince Fielder is on a list of people large enough that I would prefer they not be rampaging through a building looking for me.

Meh. You could probably outrun him.

Prince is "sneaky fast". Just ask a Brewers fan.

speaking of which...our resident brew crew fans have been notably silent lately.

Do you suppose the Dodgers had the inside of the clubhouse door barred and were all leaning against it to keep Fielder out if need be, like a castle under siege at the gates?

He's also not really big.

If I had 24 of my teammates in close proximity to me, I wouldn't sweat it too much.

I wouldn't trust guys like Juan "100 lbs" Pierre protecting me from Fielder

There really was no worries. Even if Fielder had made it into the Dodgers locker room, he would have seen the clubhouse spread and have been immediately distracted.

Not unless they had a vegetarian spread.

Things got ugly fast last night thanks to "classy" Joe Torre. He is not taking any blame but he had a pitcher warming up and ready for when Mota was thrown out. Prince is for sure frustrated but it is better than last year when he went after Parra. I still like the guy but I wish he would have went after Mota on the field if that's what he wanted to do. Maybe he didnt want to get suspended however.

Theres a more audible version of the incident up at Yahoo, and it really makes Fielder look like a moron. He keeps saying he has to take care of his biness. He has about 10 other guys with him including Ken Macha. It looks more like they were trying to stop him the instigate though. He really should get some kind of suspension. I suppose it would have been more ammusing if they had to taze him though.
