LMAO, he was safe, Koyie didn't tag him but I'll take it. :)

I don't think he was safe, since he touched Koyie's foot.

He has to be tagged with a hand or glove holding the ball. Touching his foot doesn't matter.

Not that it matters, but I believe Coach was saying that Hill's foot blocked Encarnacion from ever touching home plate.

That's what I mean. Koyie's foot was blocking homeplate from ever touching the home plate.

amazing effort by dickerson though

He missed catching that by maybe an inch or two. He's pretty solid out there.

Yeah, that was just barely not an amazing catch. He's been pretty impressive.

Well, if that's the case, then why didn't he slide around Koyie's foot/leg anyways? Milton made a nice slide earlier, and had Milton didn't do that, he probably would had been thrown out.

The better question is why was he looking at the play the whole time instead of running hard. If he just goes, the play isn't even close, as Bob pointed out. Also, he plays for Dusty and therefore probably isn't very well educated on the nuances of the game.

CUBS are 11-2 when they hit at least one triple.... 39-43 when they don't

Go CUBS !!

LOL at both Fred's crazy stats, and the fact that we have only trippled in 13 games this season.

Their feet didn't hit until Encarnacion had already touched the plate.

Lou's done a really good job of setting things up today and not having to use Marmol or Gregg, plus getting Reed into the game in a good spot.

Yeah, the "Lou is an idiot" thread may actually be quiet after this game
