Dear god Marquis made it.

 

Him and Wakefield are both awful selections that shouldn't have made it. They made it based on the number of wins they have, not their ERAs or WHIPs or any other statistic. Now for years we're going to hear from the Chicago media about how the Cubs traded "future All Star" Jason Marquis as part of Hendry's disasterous offseason.

Ryan Franklin is having a pretty good year.

 

Marquis over Gallardo for me is kinda head scratching.

I'd rather not see many Cubs in this game b/c minus Lilly they don't deserve it and they need a break especially Soriano and Harden. It would be nice to give Harden an extended rest.

I believe Soriano's automatically in if Beltran and/or Ibanez are unable to play and Soriano is next in line in fan voting. If a player voted in by the fans or players is unable to play I think the next player in that voting group gets the spot. That's how Marmol got in last year despite struggling at that point in the season.

Except that last year when Soriano - a fan-voted starter - was unable to play, his replacement (David Wright) was chosen by Hurdle, not because of any vote total.

I think he just means that it's ridiculous that either one of them were good enough for any extended period to make the team to begin with. Wearing Cards uniforms, natch.

I am a little surprised that Yo and Hoffmen didn't make it. btw congrats on taking this series ..Braun just told jsonline that we need to make a trade for a starting pitcher and he said the cubs starting pitching is far better than ours. The only way the Brewers are a playoff team is if that trade for a starter and get rid of Hall, Geret and put Seth back in the pen and send down the clown that started for us today.
