the picture on cubs.com of lee with his hand on fox's helmet caught me as amusing for some reason.

It does make Fox look as short as Fontenot. Lee looks like he is 2 ft taller, but according to cubs.com, Fox is 6-0, and Lee is 6-5.

Looks like he's dunking him under water.

And please, I want to see Fox in the lineup every damn day, please.

I actually did a bit of a double take at first to see if it was fontenot because i didn't know who the other midget could be.

The post-game show has a former Cubs player and a former Sox player talking about the game. The Cubs player is Glanville. The Sox player is Frank Thomas.

Odd...comcast was showing an interview with Jake Fox in the locker room and one of the reporters asked him for his take on the Milton Bradley/Lou thing. That's really random, why would they ask him about that? And even if he did have a unique perspective, why would a rookie that's been up for 2 weeks share it with the media. Dumb questions...

It's a good way to create a story to get the rookie that doesn't know how to handle the media to give a controversial quote about a controversial player.

Sportswriters can kiss my hairy ass.

Say what you will about Marmol today. Granted, he wasnt good, but that play by Soriano should have been a routine pop up and there would have beem 2 down with guys on 1st and 2nd, and Carlos has worked out of those types of jams often.

The bottom line is that he has to stop walking guys. Sure, Sori f'ed up, but Marmol had already put himself in a bad position.

I know this. Clearly Marmol needs to work on control, and clearly, Sean Marshall should be the 8th inning guy. I know it will rob Lou of his precious loogy, but Id rather our best reliever come in to face more than 1 batter per game. Problem is, until Guz returns were stuck with Marmol due to lack of options.

For a guy that's given up 16 hits and 38 walks in 34 1/3 innings, he has done a pretty remarkable job of only allowing 15 earned runs. He's throwing himself into a jam in almost every single outing, yet he has worked himself out of those jams more times than not.

It's pretty bad when your walks alone make your WHIP higher than 1. If it weren't for decreasing his HR rate from where it was last year, his ERA would be at least 4.5, if not over 5.
